The Kurono Tokyo 34mm 2023 collection is a compact automatic dress watch offered in four dial variants: Smoke, Darkmist, Midnight and Persimmon. The key choice is the dial design: Smoke and Darkmist pair Arabic numerals with a railroad minute track, while Midnight and Persimmon use sector-style dials. Kurono’s official collection page now marks the release sold out.
What are the 2023 Kurono 34mm models?
The four variants share the same 34 mm stainless-steel case and Miyota automatic movement. Their main difference is the dial layout and color.

These names and design distinctions are described in Monochrome Watches’ March 2, 2023 introduction. The publication characterizes the stepped case as vintage-inspired, drawing on watches from the 1920s and 1930s; that is its design interpretation, not a stated official Kurono origin claim.
How the case and movement are specified
Kurono lists the dimensions and core specifications on its official 34mm 2023 page. The 34 mm diameter and 41 mm lug-to-lug measurement give a more complete sense of the case footprint than diameter alone; neither number establishes how the watch will fit a particular wrist.

Is the Kurono 34mm sold out?
Yes. Kurono’s official 2023 collection page currently displays “SOLD OUT.” The page records the global sale for March 10, 2023, at 11:00 PM Japan Standard Time, and states that 150 watches were allocated per dial variant. Monochrome reported a launch price of JPY 150,000 per watch. That is a historical launch price, not a current resale valuation; present secondary-market stock and prices have not been established here.
At launch, Kurono said the watch would not be available for in-person purchase at its Aoyama Tokyo Salon. The official page described a domestic raffle allocation route for Japanese residents. These were launch-era arrangements and should not be read as current purchasing options.

What should buyers know about the original sale terms?
Kurono’s 2023 Conditions of Sale page states: “Kurono has a strict No Refund policy.” It also says warranty or service claims made within the first six months after receipt must come from the original buyer on record, and that resale-market watches found within that six-month period have their warranty voided. The same page describes possible destination VAT, GST or excise taxes and says repairs may take two to three months depending on condition. These are terms shown for the original sale; check Kurono’s current terms before any purchase.

The watch has 18 mm lugs and originally came with a calf-leather strap, so an 18 mm watch strap is the relevant nominal width to investigate. Width alone does not guarantee compatibility: check the strap’s actual width, attachment method, thickness and buckle fit. An aftermarket replacement calf leather watch strap should not be mistaken for an original Kurono strap.
