The Citizen Series 8 880 GMT Bold & Gold Edition is reference NB6033-51E, a two-tone automatic traveler’s GMT with a 41 mm gold-tone and stainless-steel case, black patterned dial, and black-and-green 24-hour bezel. Its Caliber 9054 lets the wearer adjust the local hour hand independently, while retaining a second-time-zone indication.
What is the Citizen Series 8 Bold & Gold Edition?
Citizen introduced the NB6033-51E in January 2025 as a non-limited addition to its Series 8 880 GMT line, according to Monochrome Watches. The defining change is its two-tone treatment: gold-tone details contrast with stainless steel across the case and integrated H-link bracelet.
The black dial has a patterned finish, gold-tone hands and indices, and a date window at 3 o’clock. Monochrome describes the dial pattern as inspired by Tokyo’s skyline. A bidirectional black-and-green bezel carries the 24-hour scale used for the GMT display.
How the traveler GMT works
Citizen’s automatic Caliber 9054 has an independently adjustable hour hand. When changing time zones, the wearer can move the local hour hand in increments without resetting the minute hand, while keeping the second time-zone indication aligned. This is the practical distinction of a traveler-style GMT: it is designed to make local-time changes convenient during travel.

The bezel provides a 24-hour reference for reading another time zone alongside the main time display. Citizen describes the watch as a GMT model with time-zone indication; the exact setup and reading depend on the wearer’s chosen reference time.

Who is this GMT for?
The independently adjustable hour hand makes the NB6033-51E particularly relevant to travelers who want to change local time without stopping the watch to reset the minutes. Its two-tone finish and integrated bracelet give it a more prominent, dress-oriented look than a conventional all-steel travel watch, while the 100 m water-resistance rating adds everyday versatility. Whether its size and gold-tone styling suit a wearer is best judged in person; the specifications alone do not establish bracelet fit or finishing quality.
