Introduced in September 2024 as the third M-3 collaboration edition, it was offered during a one-week preorder at EUR 2,470 excluding taxes.
What makes the M-3 Shiro Edition distinctive?
Shiro means “white,” but the dial is more nuanced than a plain white surface. Monochrome Watches describes it as silvery white, with an embossed texture finished using traditional Japanese lacquer. Faceted hands and applied hour markers filled with Super-LumiNova provide contrast, while a crimson-red seconds hand adds the dial’s strongest color accent.
The Shiro is the third Fratello M-3 collaboration, following the Very Peri and Nori editions. Monochrome characterizes the M-3 as a comparatively classic and restrained design. The publication also reports that the model had previously been offered only in Japan, with Fratello’s involvement bringing the collaboration to an international audience.
Case, dimensions and wearability
The stainless-steel case has a tonneau shape and measures 39 mm across, 10.6 mm thick including the crystal, and 46 mm from lug to lug. Its surfaces combine Sallaz polishing and brushing. A domed sapphire crystal covers the dial, and the solid steel back keeps the movement out of view.

The dimensions offer a useful starting point when judging fit, but case shape and wrist proportions also affect how a watch wears. The stated water resistance is 100 m; the launch specifications do not describe a particular activity rating or use protocol.
Movement and functions
Inside is an automatic Sellita SW200-1 modified to remove the date display. The listed functions are hours, minutes and central seconds. Monochrome gives the movement’s frequency as 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and its power reserve as 42 hours.

Strap and dial details
The supplied strap is denim-blue buffalo leather, measuring 20 mm at the lugs and tapering to 16 mm at the buckle. The buckle is signed by Minase. Anyone considering a replacement strap should confirm the lug width, taper, buckle dimensions and fit rather than relying on the 20 mm lug measurement alone.
Launch price and availability
Monochrome Watches reported that the preorder was exclusive to Fratello Shop for one week, from 17 September 2024 at 4 p.m. until 24 September 2024 at 4 p.m. The announced price was EUR 2,470 excluding taxes. That preorder window has passed; the launch information does not establish whether the watch is currently in stock, what it may cost now, or its resale value.

In its 2024 launch article, Monochrome also stated that Minase produced fewer than 500 watches per year. That is the publication’s reported figure for the period, not a verified current production total.
