The grey-dial model, reference M049.307.11.081.00, measures 35 mm wide, 34.2 mm long and 9.3 mm thick on average, with an automatic Caliber 72 movement and up to 72 hours of power reserve. Those dimensions give the design a more compact profile than the Multifort TV Big Date, but whether it looks small or substantial on a particular wrist depends on wrist proportions and personal preference.
What is the MIDO Multifort TV 35?
The TV 35 is a 2024 addition to MIDO’s Multifort TV collection, not the model that brought the TV-shaped case back to the catalogue the year before. MIDO describes it as “adding a size to the successful Multifort TV collection.” The cited grey-dial version is reference M049.307.11.081.00. MIDO’s official product listing identifies its case as stainless steel and lists a date function, steel bracelet and butterfly clasp with push-buttons.
The distinction in launch timing matters: Swatch Group’s 15 June 2023 announcement concerned the return of the Multifort TV Big Date. It noted that MIDO had used the TV-shaped case in 1973, 1980 and 2000. The 2023 announcement called that Big Date return “Fifty years after its first appearance, the cult classic TV-shaped case has returned to the brand’s catalogue.” The TV 35 followed in 2024, according to Swatch Group’s 2024 annual report.
Dimensions and specifications
MIDO’s product listing gives the TV 35 a rectangular case, with the width and length stated separately. The figures below are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements or performance-test results.

MIDO says Caliber 72’s fineness enables the reduced thickness. The listing also identifies a Nivachron balance spring; that is a manufacturer specification, not an independent finding about the watch’s accuracy or resistance to magnetic fields. How the TV 35 compares with the Multifort TV Big Date
The TV 35 is the compact option within the collection, while the Big Date models listed on MIDO’s US collection page measure 39.2 x 40 mm. The cases therefore differ in both stated width and length; the TV 35 is not simply a Big Date with a different dial. Check the exact reference before comparing, since the collection contains multiple variants and configurations.

How might a 35 mm TV-shaped watch wear?
A 35 mm width does not translate into a universal fit. The rectangular outline, 34.2 mm case length and wrist proportions all affect perceived presence; the official dimensions alone cannot establish whether it will look small on a 6.3-inch wrist, or suit every wearer. There is no systematic fit study or author wear test behind this introduction. If possible, compare the case dimensions with a watch you already own or try the TV 35 on in person, paying attention to how the case sits across your wrist as well as its stated width.

Price and availability depend on market
MIDO’s international product listing shows CHF 1,100 including VAT in that page’s market context. The UK collection page has surfaced TV 35 listings at £1,040 and £1,240 among its options; those listings do not establish a single UK price for every reference, nor a global price. Check the product page and an authorized local retailer for the exact model’s current price and stock: availability can change, and the official page was indexed as out of stock. The cited product listing specifies a two-year warranty; check the regional terms that apply to your purchase.
For the grey-dial model, confirm reference M049.307.11.081.00 when checking specifications or retailer listings. MIDO lists an 18 mm lug width and a bracelet reference, but that alone does not establish compatibility with any particular third-party strap.
