How the 10-day Calibre 111 works
Long reserve, manual winding
Calibre 111 stores 240 hours of running time, or 10 days, in a hand-wound mechanical movement. That is substantially longer than the reserve commonly associated with everyday mechanical watches, but it requires the owner to wind the watch rather than rely on an automatic rotor. The reserve display lets you see the remaining running time before the movement needs attention.
Practical complications
Historical launch coverage describes Calibre 111 as the series-produced successor to Calibre 110. The key addition was a date display, while the small seconds and patented non-linear reserve indication were retained. A stop-second function allows the seconds hand to be halted for more precise setting, and the movement includes a date corrector and fine timing device.

WatchPro’s launch description identifies a multi-piece 44 mm stainless-steel case and a coin-edged bezel inspired by jet-engine turbines. The dial layout reinforces the cockpit theme: the reserve indicator reads like a fuel gauge, while the small-seconds and date displays keep the central time readable.

Is 44 mm too large?
Forty-four millimetres is substantial for a wristwatch. The diameter creates a clear, instrument-like presence and suits readers who want the ProPilot’s aviation character to be immediately visible. It can feel oversized on a narrow wrist, especially when combined with the watch’s broad visual architecture. Check the case’s actual lug-to-lug reach and try the watch on before buying; diameter alone does not predict how it will sit.

Dial and strap variants
Oris lists blue and grey dial references, with configurations using textile, leather or stainless-steel straps and bracelets. The second official reference, 01 111 7711 4163-Set 5 22 14FC, confirms the same 44 mm case, 22 mm interhorn width, 10-bar resistance, 240-hour reserve and hand-wound Calibre 111 with a grey dial.
Choosing a replacement strap
The 22 mm interhorn specification means a replacement strap should be 22 mm wide at the lugs. Width is only the first check: verify spring-bar dimensions, the shape and clearance of the end links, and buckle width before ordering. A strap marketed as 22 mm is not automatically compatible with every ProPilot configuration.

The 10-bar rating provides meaningful water resistance for normal daily wear and surface-water activities when the crown, seals and case are in good condition. It is not a promise of suitability for every form of diving, and water resistance can decline as seals age or after servicing. Price, warranty and buying checks
In the United States, Oris lists $6,600 for the cited blue-dial textile reference 01 111 7711 4165-Set 5 22 15FC. That is a current US list price, not a worldwide price or a guaranteed transaction price. Regional taxes, retailer discounts, import costs and configuration differences can change the amount you pay.
- Match the reference. Confirm the dial color, strap or bracelet and the complete reference number; the same movement is offered in multiple configurations.
- Confirm seller and region. Ask whether the seller is authorized for your market and whether the stated price includes local taxes and applicable warranty support.
- Register for the warranty extension. Oris shows a two-year warranty with a free extension to five years through MyOris; follow the registration requirements attached to your purchase.

The ProPilot Calibre 111 makes the most sense for someone who values a long mechanical reserve, enjoys the ritual of hand winding and wants a large aviation-style watch with useful calendar and seconds indications. It is less suitable for anyone seeking automatic convenience, a compact case or a watch intended primarily for extreme water sports. The 10-day reserve is its headline engineering advantage, but the 44 mm format and manual-winding requirement are equally important ownership decisions.
