Serica’s 2025 Parade Ref. 1174 Linen adds two textured dial options to the existing compact, lugless automatic: Tobacco (Ref. 1174-3) and Slate (Ref. 1174-4). Both keep the collection’s stadium-shaped steel case and minimalist hours-and-minutes display, while replacing a plain dial with raised cross-weave relief inspired by linen. Serica’s collection listing shows a price of €1,490 for both variants; stock and regional pricing can change, so check the live product page before ordering.
What is new on the Parade Ref. 1174 Linen?
The Linen is a dial-and-color expansion of Serica’s Parade Ref. 1174, not a separate watch family. The two references are Tobacco, Ref. 1174-3, and Slate, Ref. 1174-4. Serica describes the dial’s deep relief as echoing linen’s interwoven fibers. The result is a more tactile, visually expressive surface than the earlier Parade dial treatment, while the central design remains restrained: 12 hand-applied polished markers and two hands for hours and minutes, with no date or seconds hand.
The launch was reported in October 2025 by Monochrome Watches and Hodinkee. Both describe the Linen dials as an extension of the existing 1174 platform.
Tobacco or Slate: how do the two dials differ?
| Variant | Reference | Color description | What to consider |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tobacco | 1174-3 | Serica names it Tobacco; launch coverage also calls it Tobacco Green. | Choose it if you prefer the warmer, earthier of the two named options. The raised weave gives the dial texture beyond its color. |
| Slate | 1174-4 | Serica names it Slate; launch coverage also calls it Slate Blue. | Choose it if you prefer the cooler blue-toned option. The dial’s relief may read differently as light moves across it. |
The official names are Tobacco and Slate. The fuller color descriptions come from launch coverage, not a separate technical specification. Serica’s current collection listing assigns the same €1,490 price to both Linen variants.

Case, movement and display
The watch uses a stainless-steel, lugless stadium-shaped case. Rather than conventional projecting lugs, its outline flows around the dial, giving the Parade a distinctive compact profile. Monochrome and Hodinkee report dimensions of 35 mm wide by 41 mm long and 8.2 mm thick. Fratello reports the same width and length but gives thickness as 8.6 mm, so the published thickness is unresolved; consult Serica for a confirmed measurement if that figure matters to fit.
Independent launch coverage identifies the automatic movement as the Soprod M100. Monochrome reports a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and approximately 42 hours of power reserve. Fratello additionally lists 25 jewels, manual winding and hacking seconds. With no seconds hand on the dial, hacking stops the movement’s seconds internally rather than adding a visible seconds display.

Serica lists 100 m water resistance. The brand describes a construction in which screws from the case back pass through the mid-case to secure the bezel and compress O-rings. Monochrome and Fratello report a sapphire crystal. The supplied leather strap is described in independent coverage as alligator-embossed calf leather, 18 mm tapering to 14 mm, with a pin buckle shaped to follow the stadium outline. Confirm attachment compatibility and current strap options with Serica before buying a replacement.

Price and availability
Serica’s official collection listing captured on 8 October 2026 showed €1,490 for the Linen variants. Monochrome also reported €1,490 including taxes in 2025. These are euro-market listings, not a guarantee of the price in every country. Hodinkee reported a US price of US$1,790 in October 2025; that dated figure should not be treated as a current US quote.

Availability is less certain than the listed price. The captured official Tobacco product page showed the variant as sold out, while the collection page referred to a planned return before September without clearly identifying a year. Check the live listings for each reference rather than assuming either variant is in stock. At launch, Hodinkee also reported availability through select retail partners; confirm current dealer status directly.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Who is the Linen version for?
The Linen makes the most sense for someone drawn to the Parade’s unusual case shape and pared-back display who wants the dial itself to contribute more visual character. Its two hands and lack of date keep the watch intentionally simple; the textured surface adds interest without changing that layout. The 35 mm by 41 mm case measurements suggest a compact footprint on paper, but the stadium outline and individual wrist shape affect how it wears. The conflicting thickness reports also make trying it on or confirming the measurement with Serica worthwhile if slimness is a deciding factor.

Compared with earlier Parade references, the main distinction established by the launch material is the textured Linen dial and its two colorways. The core case and movement are described as carried over, so this is primarily a change in surface and styling rather than a new complication or platform.
