The Tissot Seastar Wilson WNBA Powermatic 80 is a 40 mm automatic dive-style watch built around a basketball-inspired 24-second bezel and an orange strap made from material Tissot identifies with Wilson’s WNBA Evo-NXT game ball. Its exact reference is T120.807.17.051.00. It is one of two Seastar Wilson WNBA editions; this model is the Powermatic 80 automatic, not the separately announced Quartz version.
What is the Tissot Seastar Wilson WNBA Powermatic 80?
It is a special-edition Tissot Seastar developed with Wilson and the WNBA. Tissot presents the collection as the league’s first official watch collaboration. The automatic model combines a black dial and orange strap with basketball cues, while retaining the Seastar’s dive-watch styling. Tissot’s collaboration announcement describes the partnership and the two-watch launch.
The reference to look for is T120.807.17.051.00. Tissot’s US product listing identifies this specific version as the Seastar Wilson WNBA 40mm with Powermatic 80 automatic movement.
What makes the design WNBA-specific?
The 24-second shot-clock bezel
The unidirectional bezel incorporates a 24-second reference to basketball’s shot clock. White and orange accents bring in WNBA colors. This is a design nod rather than a substitute for a dedicated timing instrument: the stated connection is the bezel’s basketball-inspired marking.

The Wilson game-ball-material strap
Tissot describes the orange strap as made from Wilson WNBA Evo-NXT premium composite game-ball material. The watch also has an interchangeable quick-release strap system. The material description establishes the collaboration’s intended connection, but does not by itself establish how the strap feels, ages, or performs in wear.

The 80-hour figure is the manufacturer’s advertised reserve, not an independent timing test. Tissot says that reserve can keep the watch running if it is left unworn for about three days. Similarly, the 30-bar rating is a manufacturer specification; it should not be read as a guarantee that every example is suitable for every dive or water activity.
How does it differ from the Quartz edition?
Tissot’s launch announcement names two 40 mm watches: this Powermatic 80 automatic and a separate Quartz model. It describes the automatic with a black circular-brushed dial and mineral bezel, while the Quartz version uses white elements. The announcement links both to WNBA colors and basketball fans, but does not establish that they share every specification.
