MIDO’s two-tone Multifort 8 One Crown is reference M055.507.33.041.00: a blue-dial automatic watch with a 316L stainless-steel case and a steel bracelet finished in a golden color. MIDO lists a 40 mm case, 10 bar water resistance and up to 80 hours of power reserve. These are manufacturer-published details, not results from hands-on testing.
What is the two-tone Multifort 8 One Crown?
It is a blue-dial version of the Multifort 8 One Crown, distinguished by the contrast between its stainless-steel case and gold-tone finish. MIDO identifies the case as 316L stainless steel with PVD coating and the bracelet as steel with a golden color. The exact reference is M055.507.33.041.00; checking that number helps distinguish it from other One Crown dial colors and the separate Multifort 8 Two Crowns model. MIDO’s international product page lists the model and its materials.

What does the design description mean?
MIDO describes the collection as having an octagonal bezel and horizontally grooved dial, with Super-LumiNova on the indexes and hands. The sapphire crystal has double-sided anti-reflective coating, and the automatic Caliber 80 is visible through the case back. MIDO’s official description says: “With its clean lines, balanced 40 mm case and distinctive octagonal bezel, the Multifort 8 One Crown showcases a bold and contemporary design.” That is the manufacturer’s design language; whether the proportions or finish feel balanced is a matter of personal preference.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the specifications do—and do not—tell you
The listed 40 mm width, 38.4 mm length and 9.9 mm average thickness provide a useful starting point for comparing case size, but they cannot predict fit on a particular wrist. Likewise, the published water resistance and power reserve are specifications rather than independent test results. The available manufacturer information does not establish bracelet comfort or quality, real-world timekeeping accuracy, or long-term finish durability, so those judgments should not be inferred from the product listing.
