The white-dial IWC Portugieser Chronograph Edition “150 Years,” reference IW371602, pairs a 41 mm stainless-steel case with IWC-manufactured calibre 69355. Its notable distinction is historical: IWC said this anniversary model was the first Portugieser Chronograph to use a movement from the 69000-calibre family. This is a researched review of the model and its published specifications, not a report of our own hands-on testing.
What makes the “150 Years” Portugieser Chronograph notable?
Released for IWC’s 150th anniversary, the 2018 Jubilee edition brought a 69000-family movement to the Portugieser Chronograph for the first time, according to IWC’s January 15, 2018 press release. The white-dial steel reference IW371602 is powered by calibre 69355, an automatic column-wheel chronograph movement. A sapphire-glass caseback shows the movement, including its decorated, skeletonized rotor with a commemorative gold medallion, as described by Time+Tide’s January 22, 2018 review.
The anniversary dial treatment is another part of the watch’s appeal. Time+Tide characterized the white and blue dials as heavily lacquered and evocative of enamel; that is the publication’s aesthetic impression, not a claim that the dials are enamel.

How does the movement work in the anniversary story?
IWC describes calibre 69355 as a robust column-wheel chronograph with 194 components and a bidirectional pawl-winding system. The movement’s 46-hour power reserve and automatic winding make it a practical specification, while its first use of the 69000 family in a Portugieser Chronograph is the edition’s key mechanical milestone. The 4 Hz frequency and 27 jewels are listed in IWC’s reference-specific specification.
How does IW371602 differ from the other Jubilee versions?
IWC announced three Portugieser Chronograph Edition “150 Years” references. The two steel versions were each limited to 2,000 pieces; the red-gold version had a smaller announced limit.

What should buyers know about fit and ownership?
The 41 mm diameter and 13.1 mm height provide a useful dimensional description, but they cannot determine how the watch will fit a particular wrist. The stated strap and buckle widths are 20 mm and 18 mm. Those measurements alone do not guarantee that an aftermarket strap will fit: confirm its attachment hardware, end shape and compatibility with the watch before buying. No service interval, current listing, independent timing result or authentication procedure is established here.
