Jacob & Co. created the God of Time to mark founder and chairman Jacob Arabo’s 60th birthday. The Japan release says the watch is limited to 60 pieces worldwide; its defining feature is a tourbillon designed to complete one rotation every four seconds. The available information is the brand’s description and specifications, not an independent on-wrist assessment.
What is the Jacob & Co. God of Time?
God of Time is a limited-edition watch with the Japan model reference JA060.40.AA.AA.A. Jacob & Co. Japan announced it on January 14, 2026, as a tribute to Arabo’s 60th birthday. The brand says the caseback bears his portrait and signature. Jacob & Co. Japan’s announcement describes a worldwide edition of 60 watches.
Its visual centerpiece is a three-dimensional Chronos figure in 18K rose gold, arranged around the tourbillon against a blue aventurine dial. Jacob & Co. says the figure receives handwork including sculpting, polishing, burnishing and patination. The brand describes the case’s fluting as drawing on Ionic Greek columns. Those are the maker’s design descriptions; they do not substitute for an independent examination of the finish.
How fast does its tourbillon rotate?
Jacob & Co. says the tourbillon carriage makes one revolution every four seconds, rather than the one-minute rotation of a conventional tourbillon. The brand characterizes that as about 15 times as fast and presents it as a record-setting feature. That “fastest” framing is a manufacturer claim; the available sources do not provide independent verification or comparative testing.

The Japan product page identifies the movement as the manually wound JCAM60. It lists hours and minutes, a constant-force mechanism, a sapphire upper tourbillon bridge and a 60-hour power reserve. Jacob & Co.’s release says the reserve is maintained despite the high-speed tourbillon. The listed frequency is 21,600 vibrations per hour, or 3 Hz. See the official Japan specifications.

The official product page and the January 2026 release disagree on two details: the page lists 282 movement components and 18.10 mm thickness, while the release lists 283 components and 18.25 mm. The sources do not explain the discrepancy, so neither figure should be treated as definitively confirmed.

Jacob & Co. Japan lists a suggested retail price of JPY 63,360,000, including tax, and notes that the price may change. This is the Japan listing, not confirmation of current stock or a universal international price. Availability should be checked with the brand or an authorized dealer.
A Jacob & Co. storefront page displays “God of Time Tourbillon,” a different model string (JA060.40.AA.AA.ABALA) and a price of $360,000. The available listing does not establish whether that suffix denotes an equivalent reference or explain the price basis, so it is not directly comparable with the Japan tax-inclusive suggested price. What the birthday edition means for buyers
The edition size gives the watch a clear commemorative frame: 60 pieces for Arabo’s 60th birthday.
