Its Calibre 757 offers a manufacturer-rated 65-hour power reserve and 10-bar water resistance. The large case and instrument-like dial define its appeal; the 2016 review described the blue-accented model as a color update to the 2014 version rather than a functional redesign.
Which Master Compressor Chronograph Ceramic is this?
This review concerns reference 205C571, listed in Jaeger-LeCoultre’s 2016–2017 catalog as 205 C5 71. Time+Tide’s 2016 coverage identifies its blue-accented watch by the compact reference 205C571. A related reference, Q205C570, appeared in aBlogtoWatch’s 2014 hands-on report; its edition details should not be attributed to 205C571.

The reference distinction matters when looking up specifications, past prices, or edition information. The catalog and 2016 review support the specifications below for 205C571, while the 500-piece limitation reported in 2014 belongs only to Q205C570.

How does the design and color update change the watch?
At 46 mm, the ceramic case gives the watch a deliberately substantial presence. Time+Tide described the case as imposing and the overall dial and strap treatment as technical and utilitarian. Those are the reviewer’s impressions, not wrist-fit measurements or a universal assessment of comfort.
The 2016 blue-accented version shifts the visual emphasis from the red accents of the earlier design to navy blue, with pale-grey details on the chronograph subdials and minute track. Time+Tide characterized the physical watch and functions as otherwise unchanged from the 2014 original. That account makes the update chiefly a change in dial color treatment, not a new movement or feature set.
What is it like as a chronograph and travel watch?
The Calibre 757 combines chronograph counters with a second-time-zone indication and day/night display. That gives the watch more practical information than a conventional elapsed-time chronograph, particularly for distinguishing day from night in the other time zone. The date adds a further calendar display.
Time+Tide also notes a compression-key crown, part of the watch’s technical, tool-oriented presentation. The catalog confirms the listed functions but does not provide a tested assessment of chronograph accuracy, legibility in different lighting, or ease of operating the second-time-zone display.
What does the water-resistance rating mean?
Jaeger-LeCoultre specifies water resistance of 10 bar. Time+Tide describes this as 100 m, but a pressure rating alone should not be taken as proof that a specific watch is suitable for diving. The catalog’s Italian wording labels the model a diving watch; it does not establish activity-specific operating guidance or the present condition of any individual example.
What did it cost, and what should a buyer verify?
Time+Tide reported an Australian launch-era price of A$18,200 in 2016 for reference 205C571. That historical figure is not a current market valuation. No current asking price, availability, or market statistic is established here, so buyers should verify those details against current listings and the specific watch being considered.

aBlogtoWatch reported that the related reference Q205C570 was limited to 500 pieces in 2014. This edition size applies to Q205C570 only; it is not evidence that reference 205C571 shares the same limitation.
For any pre-owned example, assess the individual watch rather than relying on its reference specifications alone. A useful comparison or inspection should cover:
- Case diameter and material, and how the 46 mm case sits on the intended wrist.
- Chronograph layout and the clarity of the second-time-zone and day/night indications.
- Water-resistance specification alongside the watch’s current condition and any relevant service documentation.
- Strap condition, case-back construction, and overall legibility.
- Reference number, seller claims, condition, service history, and current asking price.
The available specifications establish what the model was designed to offer, but they do not verify the authenticity, condition, service needs, or value of a particular listing.

The 205C571 is a distinctive choice for someone seeking a large ceramic chronograph with a second time zone and day/night display, rather than a restrained or compact everyday watch. Its appeal rests on the combination of the imposing 46 mm ceramic case, the Calibre 757’s broad display set, and the blue-accented dial treatment. Treat the 2016 Australian price and the separate Q205C570 edition count as historical reference points—not current buying guidance.
