In the Master of Days, the action is manual: fastening the cufflink activates the mechanism and moves the display to the next day. The maker describes it as a mechanical calendar display, not an autonomous timekeeping movement.

A seven-pointed star wheel advances the bright blue pointer beneath a sapphire window. Konstantin Chaykin Manufacture identifies the star wheel as both a working part and the design’s visual center. Hodinkee also describes the fastening lever as the actuator and notes that the cufflinks have no crown or regulating organ.

How it differs from ordinary cufflinks
Ordinary cufflinks are decorative or functional fasteners; the Master of Days adds a visible day-of-week indication and a mechanical step each time it is fastened. Its operation is closer to a user-advanced display than to a watch: there is no continuous timekeeping function. The reviewed sources do not establish a directly comparable competing mechanical calendar cufflink, so a claim that it is unique across the market would go beyond the available evidence.
