Laco x Circula ProLab is a limited-edition set of two different 40 mm automatic watches, not a single co-branded model. ProLab Sand pairs a field-watch-inspired dial with a dark sandblasted case; ProLab Schwarz uses a Type B pilot layout and a case hardened to 1,200 Vickers. The set was limited to 170, but Laco’s product listing now marks it discontinued and no longer available.
Why the collaboration includes two watches
The project grew from conversations between Circula’s Cornelius Huber and Laco’s Uwe Rücker as both Pforzheim brands approached anniversaries in 2025: Laco’s 100th and Circula’s 70th. They initially considered one watch, then chose two designs to express each brand’s identity. Circula describes the project as “for the first time in the German watch industry, two independent brands are coming together for a collaboration of this kind”; that is the brands’ own characterization, not an independently established industry-wide first. The watches share a few details: each is 40 mm across, has a 20 mm lug width, and comes on a sailcloth strap with quick-release spring bars. Their dials, case finishes, movement descriptions, and water-resistance ratings differ.

These specifications come from Laco’s official product listing. The two water-resistance figures are not interchangeable: Sand is rated to 20 ATM and Schwarz to 15 ATM.

Edition contents and anniversary details
Laco and Circula specified 170 sets. Both watches have closed, engraved casebacks with individual limited-edition numbers. Two gold dots on the casebacks mark the brands’ original locations, and a gold-colored coin also carries the limitation number. The set includes an aluminum presentation case. The 170-set edition and anniversary context are stated on Laco’s official news page and the Circula project page.
Launch price, timing, and availability
WatchTime’s report dated December 12, 2025, says sales began December 11, 2025, with delivery expected to start at the end of January 2026. It reported a launch price of €2,390. Laco’s US product page displays US$2,990, but that page is undated and currently marks the set “discontinued” and “No longer available.” These are source-specific regional price displays, not a currency conversion or a current resale valuation. The listing status does not establish whether Circula or an individual reseller has remaining stock. WatchTime’s launch report and Laco’s listing provide those details.

What to check if buying a strap
Both watches have a stated 20 mm lug width, so a 20 mm strap is the nominal width to look for. That does not by itself guarantee attachment compatibility. The included straps use quick-release spring bars; check the replacement strap’s attachment and spring-bar setup against the watch before buying.
