What dual-frequency GPS means
Lenovo advertises dual-frequency GPS as one of the Watch GT Pro’s main outdoor features. A dual-frequency receiver can use signals on two frequency bands, helping reduce some positioning errors caused by atmospheric interference and reflected signals. That can be useful in urban canyons, wooded areas, and other environments where satellite signals bounce off buildings or terrain.
However, the feature does not prove that the watch will deliver Garmin-level tracking, perfect running pace, or better accuracy than every competing watch. The available specifications do not identify the supported satellite constellations, exact frequency bands, recording behavior, map support, or GPS battery runtime. No independent track comparison was found.
The listed compass, altitude sensor, and barometric-pressure sensor are relevant to hiking and outdoor activity. They do not, by themselves, establish support for offline maps, route following, breadcrumb navigation, or turn-by-turn directions.
Battery life: 27 days is a mode-specific claim
The Watch GT Pro reportedly uses a 470mAh lithium-polymer battery. Lenovo’s headline figure is up to 27 days in long-endurance mode. Launch coverage also cites approximately seven days under heavy use, with charging taking about three hours through a magnetic cable. These figures are reported specifications, not independent laboratory results.
Long-endurance mode will generally involve compromises such as reduced sensor activity, fewer notifications, limited display behavior, or less frequent use of demanding features. Continuous heart-rate monitoring, GPS workouts, Bluetooth calls, high screen brightness, an always-on display, and frequent health measurements can reduce runtime substantially.

Lenovo’s reported material does not provide a GPS-specific battery estimate, so runners and hikers should not infer one from the 27-day headline.
Health tracking and wellness features
The watch supports all-day or continuous heart-rate monitoring, blood-oxygen measurement, sleep tracking, stress monitoring, guided breathing exercises, and health reminders. Secondary coverage says sleep tracking can distinguish light, deep, and REM stages. Lenovo’s official listing describes the watch as offering all-day health monitoring.
These are wellness features, not established medical diagnostics. The available information does not confirm ECG, blood-pressure measurement, arrhythmia detection, sleep-apnea detection, emergency medical alerts, or regulatory clearance for diagnosis.
SpO₂ and heart-rate readings can be affected by fit, movement, skin contact, circulation, temperature, and sensor limitations. Treat them as general indicators rather than a substitute for clinical equipment or medical advice.
Sports tracking and swimming
Lenovo lists more than 170 sports modes, covering indoor and outdoor activities. The watch also reportedly includes a swimming algorithm that records strokes, pace, laps, duration, and calories burned.
Its 5ATM rating is commonly described as resistance equivalent to water pressure at 50 meters under test conditions. That makes it suitable for appropriate everyday water exposure and ordinary swimming when used according to Lenovo’s instructions. It is not a blanket guarantee for scuba diving, high-pressure water sports, or deep submersion. Water resistance can weaken with age, impact, damaged seals, or servicing. No independent test of the swimming algorithm was found.
Smartwatch features and compatibility
Reported smart features include Bluetooth calling, call-history access, notifications, weather, phone finding, remote camera control, a voice assistant, personalized watch faces, a compass, and Alipay support. Bluetooth calling and notifications require a paired phone.

Alipay is primarily relevant to China-based users and should not be described as universal contactless payment support. Voice-assistant behavior may depend on the phone, language, region, and companion app. Android and iOS compatibility also does not guarantee identical functionality across both platforms.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Should you import the Watch GT Pro?
It may make sense for China-based buyers
The Watch GT Pro is potentially attractive if you want long battery life, a circular AMOLED display, a broad sports-mode catalog, Bluetooth calling, swimming support, and outdoor sensors at a relatively low China-market price. China-based buyers also have a better chance of accessing Lenovo’s intended app, payment, support, and warranty ecosystem.
International buyers should be cautious
An imported unit can add shipping, taxes, seller markup, and return costs. More importantly, local warranty coverage is unconfirmed. Check the seller’s identity, stock, firmware region, language support, companion-app availability, payment features, firmware updates, and return policy before paying.
A reseller listing at $147.99 is evidence of a possible import route, not an official U.S. price. The final cost may be higher, and reseller warranty terms may differ substantially from Lenovo’s local support.

- Serious runners, hikers, and multisport athletes: compare independent GPS testing, GPS battery life, route navigation, training-load metrics, recovery tools, data export, offline maps, and local support before choosing the Lenovo.
- Apple, Samsung, or Google ecosystem users: Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch, and Pixel Watch generally offer deeper app and phone integration, though typically with more frequent charging.
- Users relying on Strava, TrainingPeaks, Garmin Connect, Apple Health, or Google Health Connect: support for these services is not established in the available material.
- Anyone seeking ECG, fall detection, LTE, emergency calling, music streaming, a mature app store, or a dive computer: the Watch GT Pro’s reported specifications do not confirm those capabilities.
Lenovo Watch Pro versus Watch GT Pro
Lenovo’s regular Watch Pro is listed with a lower indexed price of 499 yuan, an 18-day battery claim, 3ATM water resistance, and more than 70 sports modes. It does not occupy the same advertised position as the GT Pro, which adds dual-frequency GPS, 5ATM resistance, and more than 170 sports modes.
Both models are China-market products, so availability, language, app behavior, and warranty should be checked separately rather than assumed to be interchangeable internationally.
What remains unverified
- Independent GPS accuracy and route-tracking performance.
- Battery runtime during continuous GPS recording.
- Official U.S. or broader international availability.
- Full English and other-language support across the watch and Lenovo app.
- Third-party integrations and data export.
- Local warranty, repair, and return coverage outside China.
- Medical validation or regulatory clearance for the health features.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: The Lenovo Watch GT Pro is an interesting China-market watch with promising outdoor hardware and a compelling battery claim, but its headline advantages are not yet independently proven. It is a reasonable candidate for China-based buyers who value battery life and broad activity tracking. For U.S. and other international buyers, the lack of confirmed global availability, local warranty, GPS testing, GPS battery data, and fully documented software support makes it a speculative import rather than a dependable Garmin or mainstream smartwatch replacement.
