What the rose-gold reference offers
In its 7 November 2025 report, Monochrome Watches identified the rose-gold edition as reference L2.773.8.78.3. It combines a chronograph with a full calendar display and moonphase, placing several kinds of information on one dial. The result is feature-rich, but visually busy: Monochrome notes that legibility is not the watch’s strongest point given the number of hands and indications.

Case, dial and strap
The reported case is polished 18k rose gold, measuring 42 mm in diameter, 14.40 mm thick and 49.50 mm from lug to lug. The dial is silver with an embossed barleycorn pattern. Sapphire crystals are fitted on both sides; the report describes the rear as a snap-on gold caseback with a sapphire crystal. Water resistance is reported as 30 metres.
The watch is shown on a brown alligator strap with beige stitching and an 18k pink-gold pin buckle. The precious-metal case and buckle give this version a materially different proposition from the steel model, while the dimensions and crowded display are important practical considerations for anyone assessing fit and readability.

How to read the crowded dial
- Center: hours and minutes, central chronograph seconds, and a pointer date that indicates the date around the dial perimeter.
- At 12 o’clock: a 30-minute chronograph counter and day and month windows.
- At 9 o’clock: small seconds and a 24-hour day/night indication.
- At 6 o’clock: a 12-hour chronograph counter and moonphase display.
This arrangement packs calendar, moonphase and timing information together rather than prioritizing an uncluttered time-only display. Buyers who need to read the indications quickly should examine the dial in person if possible.
Movement and functions
Monochrome reports an automatic Longines calibre L687.5, made by ETA exclusively for Longines and described as a deep evolution of the Valjoux 7750 base. The article lists a column wheel, silicon balance spring, free-sprung balance, 27 jewels, a 30 mm by 7.9 mm movement, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a 66-hour power reserve. These are specifications as reported by that article, not independently verified measurements.

The stated functions are hours, minutes, chronograph, complete calendar and moonphase. The 66-hour reserve is the reported running time when fully wound; the source does not establish how the watch performs in a particular wearer’s use.
