The Longines Pilot Majetek Pioneer Edition, reference L2.838.1.53.2, is a 43 mm titanium take on the brand’s aviation-linked Majetek design. Its official specifications include a 72-hour power reserve, bidirectional bezel and 10 bar water resistance. Longines’ US listing showed a price of $5,650 when checked on 8 October 2026; the reported 1,935-piece limit comes from a secondary source, not the official product page.
What is the Pilot Majetek Pioneer Edition?
The Pioneer Edition is distinct from the standard stainless-steel Pilot Majetek: the official US listing identifies reference L2.838.1.53.2 as a 43 mm titanium watch with a black matte dial and nylon strap. Longines describes the Majetek’s case shape as cushion-shaped. Longines’ product page provides the model’s current specifications and brand history.
The exact model name and reference matter when comparing listings: “Pilot Majetek” also refers to the standard model, whose launch Longines announced in February 2023. The brand’s 22 February 2023 release describes that version as having a steel cushion-shaped case and bidirectional fluted bezel.

How limited is the Pioneer Edition?
Watch publication Time and Watches reported on 27 June 2024 that the titanium Pioneer Edition was limited to 1,935 pieces, a number associated with the model’s 1935 history. This is secondary-source reporting: Longines’ official product page cited here does not state the edition limit. Treat 1,935 as a reported figure rather than an official confirmation. Time and Watches’ report is the source for that number.
What is the 1935 connection?
Longines says it registered the Pilot Majetek model with the International Bureau of Industrial Property in Bern, Switzerland, on 1 April 1935, and says it was initially designed for aviators. That is the brand’s account of the model’s history, rather than evidence that the modern Pioneer Edition reproduces every detail of the original. The brand’s product page presents this history alongside the current watch.

Price and availability
Longines’ US product page displayed $5,650 and a five-year warranty when checked on 8 October 2026. That is a market-specific listing and can change; it should not be read as a global price or a guarantee that the watch is currently in stock. Check the official listing for current US details.

Specifications alone cannot establish how a 43 mm case wears on a particular wrist, how comfortable the nylon strap feels, or how clearly the dial reads in changing light. Nor do they establish measured accuracy, lume performance or durability. Those claims require direct inspection or testing; none is asserted here.
