Which one is likely to fit better?
Choose the Neptune for a slimmer listed profile
Lorier lists the Neptune at 39 mm wide and 46 mm lug-to-lug, with a 10.3 mm case and a separate 1.1 mm dome crystal. That makes its listed case body thinner than the Aquascaphe MK2’s; total thickness figures are not directly equivalent because the watches’ crystals are described differently.
Choose the Aquascaphe MK2 for more size flexibility
Baltic offers a 37 mm version measuring 45 mm lug-to-lug and a 39.5 mm version measuring 47 mm lug-to-lug. Its listed total thickness is 12.9 mm, or 10.7 mm without the glass. Both watches have 20 mm lug widths, so strap width is consistent, though compatibility with a particular strap or bracelet should still be checked.

- Stainless Steel case with Black Resin Band
- Black Dial with date window at 3 O'clock
- Luminous markers and hour hands; sweep second hand
- Anti-reverse bezel
- Water-resistant to 200 M (660 feet)
Case width alone does not determine wrist fit. Compare lug-to-lug length and thickness as well, and, if possible, try the exact version on your wrist.
Do you want a date?
The listed Neptune configuration uses the no-date Miyota 9039. The Aquascaphe MK2 offers that same no-date movement or a date-equipped Miyota 9015 configuration. Baltic lists a 42-hour power reserve for the MK2. If a date display is important, the Baltic is the choice between these listings; if you prefer a clean dial, both brands offer a no-date option.

How do their dive-watch specifications compare?
On the core specifications listed by their manufacturers, the watches are closely matched: each is rated to 200 m, has a screw-down crown and uses a 120-click unidirectional bezel. These figures describe manufacturer specifications, not an independent comparative test. Both current listings specify sapphire crystals and sapphire bezel components: Lorier lists a domed sapphire crystal and sapphire bezel insert, while Baltic lists double-domed sapphire and a sapphire bezel.
Which design should you choose?
This comes down to taste rather than a technical advantage. In Fratello’s September 28, 2025 head-to-head, Thomas preferred the Neptune’s classic, restrained look, while Daan favored the Aquascaphe MK2’s bolder, more contemporary presentation. Those are their subjective judgments, not a consensus or a measurable difference. Lorier describes the Neptune as its interpretation of a dive watch from the golden era of dive watches.

What do they cost now?
Prices are not a dependable basis for a direct comparison from the available listings. The Lorier page retrieved on October 7, 2026 displayed $699 alongside out-of-stock and preorder/September 2026 shipping text. The retrieved Baltic page did not expose a reliable current price. Fratello reported US$599 for the Neptune and €840.95 for the Aquascaphe MK2 on a steel bracelet in its September 28, 2025 article; those dated figures are not a current, like-for-like comparison.

- DIVER-INSPIRED DESIGN — Inspired by the sea, the MDV-106B is styled after classic dive watches and delivers 200-meter water resistance at an unbeatable price point. The black resin band and stainless steel case give it a classic look, while the anti-reverse rotary bezel adds authentic dive-watch character.
- STAINLESS STEEL CASE WITH SCREW-LOCK CROWN & CASEBACK — The MDV-106B features a stainless steel case and a reliable screw-lock crown for enhanced water resistance protection. Screw-down crown and screw-lock caseback work together to keep the movement sealed and secure during water activities — a construction standard found on dive watches far above this price range.
- LARGE FLUORESCENT HANDS & INDICES FOR INSTANT READABILITY — The dial features hands and hour indices with large fluorescent areas for easy reading in low-light and underwater conditions. The clean 3-hand analog layout with date display at 3 o'clock keeps the dial uncluttered and immediately legible at a glance.
- 44MM STAINLESS STEEL CASE | 22MM LUG WIDTH | MINERAL GLASS — The case measures 44mm in diameter, 12mm in height, with a 49mm lug-to-lug length and a standard 22mm lug width — making strap upgrades effortless with a vast range of aftermarket options. Mineral glass protects the dial from everyday scratches and impacts.
- 3-YEAR BATTERY & 200M WATER RESISTANCE — Powered by an SR626SW battery with an approximate 3-year life, the case measures 49.5 × 46.3 × 12.1mm and weighs 92 grams. At 200 meters of water resistance, the Duro is versatile and suitable for all situations — whether in the water, hiking, running, or at the office.
Which watch should you buy?
- Pick the Lorier Neptune if its 39 mm size, 46 mm lug-to-lug measurement, thinner listed case body and restrained styling suit you, and you want a no-date watch.
- Pick the Baltic Aquascaphe MK2 if you want a choice between 37 mm and 39.5 mm cases, a date option, or more listed bracelet and strap choices.
- Try both before choosing if wrist fit is close: the MK2’s smaller 37 mm version is not automatically shorter in lug-to-lug length by a dramatic margin, and the 39.5 mm version is longer than the Neptune.
For current specifications, consult the Lorier Neptune listing and Baltic Aquascaphe MK2 listing. For the dated design and price comparison, see Fratello’s September 2025 head-to-head.
