The 2026 Louis Vuitton Escale Worldtime, reference W3PTA1, pairs a 24-time-zone display with a 40 mm platinum case and a dial whose colorful flags Louis Vuitton says take 40 hours to paint. Despite the supplied “Hands-On” framing, the available material supports a specification-led look, not a firsthand review: it establishes the watch’s design and functions, but not independent findings about comfort, accuracy, or real-world legibility.

What the Escale Worldtime does

Louis Vuitton describes the Escale Worldtime as a self-winding watch that displays 24 time zones at a glance. Its listed functions are worldtime, day/night indication for 24 time zones, jumping hours, and minutes. The movement is the LFT VO12.01, which the brand lists at 34 mm in diameter and 5.9 mm thick; the platinum case measures 40 mm. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. Louis Vuitton’s product listing identifies the reference as W3PTA1.

How to read the 24-zone display

Louis Vuitton says the main time-zone display uses city initials and a jumping-hour disc. The city names provide the geographic reference, while the disc indicates the hour for the selected zone; the day/night indication extends across the 24 zones. This is the manufacturer’s explanation of the layout, not an independent assessment of how quickly or easily it can be read. The brand also describes the display as showing 24 time zones at a glance in its travel-complications feature.

What stands out about the dial

The product page describes a grained center intended to evoke Louis Vuitton Monogram canvas, surrounded by colorful flags. The brand says the flags are created with miniature painting over 40 hours. That detail gives the dial a craft emphasis as well as a time-zone function; the time figure is Louis Vuitton’s stated production detail, not an independently verified account.

Escale Worldtime and Escale Twin Zone compared

Both watches address travel, but they present different kinds of time information. Louis Vuitton describes the Twin Zone as a dual-time watch with an additional minute hand, and says it supports non-standard time offsets. That can matter when a destination’s offset is not a whole hour. The Worldtime, by contrast, is specified for a 24-zone worldtime display. The available descriptions establish different functions and reading approaches, not a difference in accuracy or usability.

Escale Twin Zone Dual time, according to Louis Vuitton Additional minute hand for the second time indication Louis Vuitton says it supports non-standard offsets

The regular Escale Worldtime should not be confused with the separately announced Escale Worldtime Flying Tourbillon. The latter is a different model; tourbillon details do not apply to reference W3PTA1.

Launch context and regional price listings

WatchTime reported on January 20, 2026 that Louis Vuitton expanded the Escale collection at LVMH Watch Week in Milan, including the Escale Worldtime and Worldtime Flying Tourbillon, alongside Twin Zone and Minute Repeater models. That report provides launch context; the specifications above come from Louis Vuitton.

Prices differ by market listing, so neither figure should be treated as a universal price. The European W3PTA1 product page lists €95,500, while the US Escale collection page lists $94,500 for a platinum Escale Worldtime. Check the relevant page for the exact reference and current availability before making a purchase; these listings can change.
