The LOUIS XVI La Lumière Glass Automatic Ref. 3823 in Baby Blue is a large, skeleton-dial watch built around a transparent K9-glass case and a visible balance wheel. The maker lists a Miyota 82S0 automatic movement, a 45 mm case and 5 ATM water resistance. Its appeal is its conspicuous, see-through design—not a proven record of accuracy or durability. The manufacturer listed it at €695 on its European page and $1,070 on its US-region page on October 13, 2026; those are separate regional prices, not a single global price.
What is the La Lumière Ref. 3823?
LOUIS XVI describes the La Lumière Glass Automatic Ref. 3823 as a limited-edition automatic watch with a skeletonized dial, open balance wheel, K9-glass case and baby-blue rubber strap. The transparent case and exposed movement give it a deliberately theatrical look, while the blue strap reinforces the color-led design. It is best considered by someone who wants a prominent mechanical display rather than a restrained everyday watch.

How large is it, and what does that mean for fit?
At a listed 45 mm across, 13 mm thick and 27 mm at the strap, the Ref. 3823 has substantial wrist presence. Its 125 g listed weight is another reason to expect a noticeable watch rather than a discreet one. These numbers are the manufacturer’s specifications; the source does not establish independent measurements, lug-to-lug length or how the case wears on different wrists.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The unusually wide strap is also a practical fit consideration: check whether the strap geometry and overall proportions suit your wrist before buying. The seller’s page had a customer comment mentioning fit on a 7¼-inch wrist, but one self-selected testimonial cannot establish fit for other wearers or serve as a sizing guarantee.
Movement, materials and water resistance: what is established?
Automatic movement
The maker names a Miyota 82S0 Premium automatic movement and highlights the visible balance wheel. That identifies the movement as presented in the listing, but does not establish this watch’s measured accuracy, power reserve, winding performance, finishing or service experience. No independent timing test was established.

Transparent case and sapphire crystal
LOUIS XVI specifies a K9-glass case and sapphire crystal, describing the latter as scratch-resistant. These are distinct components: the transparent case is part of the watch’s visual design, while the sapphire crystal covers the dial. The listing does not establish independent durability testing for either component.

5 ATM rating
The stated 5 ATM (50 m) is the manufacturer’s water-resistance rating. A rating by itself does not verify the condition of a particular watch or establish its suitability for a specific water activity. No independent pressure test or activity guidance was established for this model; consult the maker’s current instructions and warranty terms before exposing it to water.

Is the Ref. 3823 worth the asking price?
Whether the price makes sense depends heavily on what you want from a watch. The Ref. 3823 offers a distinctive transparent-case presentation, a skeleton dial, a named automatic movement and a blue rubber strap. If those design choices are the main attraction, the listed specifications explain its proposition. If you are buying primarily for verified timekeeping, water performance, long-term durability or value against competing watches, the available evidence does not settle those questions.
The manufacturer’s page showed a 4.82/5 rating from 28 customer reviews on October 13, 2026. That is a seller-site rating from self-selected reviewers, not an independently representative satisfaction measure. No hands-on inspection, independent accuracy or water-resistance testing, or sourced competitor comparison was established, so the asking price cannot be validated by those measures here.
