At the US product page’s displayed price of $1,325 on October 8, 2026, it is not inexpensive in absolute terms; whether it feels like good value depends on how much you want this particular combination of profile, finishing and mechanical simplicity.
What the Manhattan 39 Ultra-Thin is
The Manhattan 39 Ultra-Thin is a 39 mm stainless-steel watch with an integrated bracelet and a manual-wind movement. MAEN calls its profile “Sub-seven millimeters.” The official collection specifications put the case at 6.9 mm thick and 47.8 mm lug-to-lug, dimensions that explain the watch’s low, streamlined appearance without guaranteeing that it will suit every wrist.
The collection page lists the weight as 121 g. Case and bracelet are 316L stainless steel. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating covers the dial, and a screwed sapphire caseback provides a view of the movement.

How it wears—and what the bracelet adds
The integrated 316L steel bracelet flows into the case for a cohesive, formal-sport look. MAEN lists its width as 23.5 mm at the case, tapering to 17 mm, and specifies a hidden deployment or butterfly clasp. That concealed closure keeps the bracelet’s appearance clean, though buyers who prioritize quick, fine adjustment should inspect the clasp and sizing options before ordering.

- The watch is powered by the motion of the wearer's wrist. If the watch is not worn for 8 or more active hours per day, it will run slower than usual or even stop briefly.
Fratello’s launch-era hands-on review praised the bracelet’s refinement and comfort. Its reviewer found the 39 mm watch comfortable despite the 47.8 mm lug-to-lug length. That is one person’s experience, not a fit guarantee: wrist shape, bracelet sizing and personal preference all matter. The 6.9 mm thickness should help the watch sit close to the wrist and slip under many cuffs, but it does not settle whether the overall length will suit you.
Movement: current specification versus the prototype report
MAEN’s current collection page specifies a hand-wound La Joux-Perret D101 with an approximately 50-hour power reserve, 3 Hz beat rate and 18 jewels. The watch shows hours and minutes only, with no date. Hand-winding means there is no automatic winding from wrist movement; the wearer winds it periodically.

- Two-Tone Stainless Steel
- Sapphire Crystal
- 50M Water Resistant and 5 Year Limited Warranty
There is a version distinction worth noting. Fratello’s launch-era review covered a pre-production watch fitted with an ETA 7001 and reported a 42–45-hour reserve. Those are prototype-era details, not the current official specification. For the presently listed model, use MAEN’s D101 and approximately 50-hour figure.
Dial options and availability
MAEN’s current collection page lists Forest Green, Ice Blue, Ghost Grey and Midnight Blue among the M4.1 variants. The current US M4.1.1 page and the launch-era review also mention Garnet Red. Listings therefore differ by page and timing; check the live product listing for the exact reference and color available in your region rather than assuming every shade is currently offered.

Price, warranty and buying terms
As accessed on October 8, 2026, MAEN’s US M4.1.1 product page displayed $1,325 including VAT, marked the watch “Only a few available” and “In stock – Direct shipping.” These are that page’s regional price and stock display at that time, not a universal or permanent price. The regional MAEN collection page listed five M4.1 variants at €1,159.20 when accessed on the same date; the currencies and regional listings should not be treated as a direct exchange-rate comparison.
The US page stated a two-year warranty beginning on arrival. It excluded specified damage, including damage from abnormal use, negligence, accidents, incorrect use and water damage. It also described free worldwide shipping above €150, while noting that some expedited shipping is charged. Deliveries outside the EU and UK may incur additional duties, taxes, brokerage or customs fees. Confirm the terms and landed cost for your destination at checkout; both price and availability can change.

Is the MAEN Manhattan 39 Ultra-Thin worth considering?
Its strongest argument is a concrete one: a 39 mm steel watch with a 6.9 mm profile, integrated bracelet and current-specification Swiss hand-wound movement. It is a coherent choice if you value a slim case, a restrained hours-and-minutes display and a bracelet-led design. The independent launch review’s positive take on bracelet comfort adds useful context, while remaining a single reviewer’s impression.
The trade-offs are equally specific. There is no date, the movement is manual-wind, and the concealed clasp may not suit every preference for adjustment. Its 10 ATM rating is a stated water-resistance specification, not a blanket assurance that the watch is appropriate for every water activity. No like-for-like competitor evidence establishes that it is category-leading value, so judge it against alternatives using thickness, diameter and lug-to-lug, movement and reserve, bracelet construction and adjustment, water resistance, warranty and destination-specific landed price.
