The unusual display is its defining feature; its movement figures and case specifications are currently listed by the brand, not independently verified performance results.
How the Secret Orbital tells time
Instead of a pair of hands meeting at the centre, the design uses a large, arrow-tipped minute indicator that travels around an orbital track. A separate rotating disc near six o’clock indicates the hour. Gadget Review described luminous minute markers and a display caseback in its April 4, 2025 feature, but those construction and display details are reporting rather than the result of independent inspection.
The arrangement makes reading time less immediately familiar than on a conventional dial: the wearer must read the minute indicator against its track and then identify the hour on the disc. Mandetbrote’s product story captures the design intent: “Inspired by these, I imagined telling time not with hands, but through shifting colors and moving structures.” The statement is presented by the brand without a named speaker.
Movement and stated performance
Mandetbrote says the watch uses a proprietary caliber built on the Miyota 9015 automatic movement. Its current listing gives the caliber 24 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour, a 42-hour power reserve and a stated accuracy range of -10/+30 seconds per day. These are manufacturer specifications for the watch’s caliber; they are not independent test results, and the figures should not all be assumed to describe an unmodified Miyota 9015. Miyota’s 9015 reference page is useful for information on the base movement, not verification of Mandetbrote’s modifications or the finished watch’s measured performance.

Case, crystal and strap specifications
The brand currently lists a 41.2 mm-wide stainless-steel case, 12.3 mm thickness and 49.5 mm lug-to-lug length. Those dimensions give a more complete sense of fit than case width alone: lug-to-lug is relevant to how far the watch spans across the wrist, while thickness affects how high it sits. Actual comfort depends on wrist shape and personal preference.

Price and availability
Mandetbrote displayed a price of $479 on its storefront when checked October 7, 2026; retail price and stock are volatile, so consult the live listing for the current offer and availability. Gadget Review reported a $299 Kickstarter campaign price in April 2025. That was a historical campaign-era figure, not the current storefront price or a guarantee of future pricing.
The Kickstarter campaign ran from March 19 through April 26, 2025. Its page reports 1,319 backers and HK$3,327,423 pledged, and displays an update date of July 23, 2026. These are platform-reported campaign totals; they do not establish independent sales, delivery status, or customer satisfaction.

What the available information does—and does not—establish
The brand’s product page is the best available source here for its current product description, listed specifications and displayed price. The 2025 Gadget Review article provides useful campaign-era background, but its claims should be read in that context. It reported 50-meter water resistance, limited production of 500 pieces per colorway, patent protection, and planned deliveries from August 2025. Those claims are not independently verified by the cited material, and a stated delivery expectation is not proof of fulfillment. Confirm water resistance and delivery or stock details directly with the brand before relying on them.
No independent hands-on test or verified customer-satisfaction evidence is established here. The most secure conclusion is about the concept and stated specifications: this is an automatic watch whose distinctive orbital minute track and separate rotating hour disc prioritize a different way of displaying time over familiar dial-reading conventions.
