The AIKON Mercury brought an unconventional display concept from Maurice Lacroix’s Masterpiece watches into the AIKON sports-elegance collection. The exact reference is AI6088-SS002-030-1. In the brand’s 2020/2021 catalog, it is described as a 44 mm automatic watch powered by the ML225 movement and equipped with an in-house patented time-memory module. Maurice Lacroix’s catalog also lists delivery with a stainless-steel bracelet and an alligator leather strap.
How does the “Free Hand” display work?
At rest, the watch looks like a conventional analog display: central hour and minute hands, with small seconds at six o’clock. Tilt the watch and the hour and minute hands spin freely, rather than continuing their usual timekeeping role. Hold it upright again and the hands return to indicate the correct time.

That wording is from Maurice Lacroix’s catalog, as is its description of the return behavior: “Hold the AIKON Mercury upright, and the hands fall back and give correct time.” The catalog presents the effect as a patented display; the unusual motion is intentional, not a conventional time-reading mode.

What prices have been published?
Europa Star lists CHF 7,500 for the model. The Watch Pages gives a separate $9,300 guide price and says the watch is no longer in Maurice Lacroix’s current collection. These are different publications, currencies and price contexts; neither figure establishes a current local selling price.
The current US Maurice Lacroix search page did not show the Mercury among its displayed results. That search result alone does not establish worldwide discontinuation or unavailability. For a current price or stock check, look for the exact reference with the brand or a seller in the relevant market. A buyer comparing listings should confirm the currency, region, condition, seller and warranty, included bracelet-and-strap set, and reference number.
