The Mido Ocean Star Tribute Gradient launched as a Time+Tide Shop exclusive in Australia in July 2022—not as a claim of worldwide or continuing exclusivity. The launch featured two versions: a red-to-black dial (M026.830.17.421.00) and a grey-to-black dial (M026.830.17.081.00). Current availability and exclusivity are not established by that dated announcement.
What the Time+Tide exclusive claim covered
Time+Tide announced the two gradient-dial Ocean Star Tribute models on 22 July 2022 and described them as exclusive to its Australian shop at launch. That wording refers to the launch and market described in the article; it does not establish that the watches remain exclusive to Time+Tide or are unavailable elsewhere today. Time+Tide’s launch feature gives the historical context.
The two gradient-dial versions
| Version | Reference | Dial |
|---|---|---|
| Red | M026.830.17.421.00 | Red fading to black |
| Grey | M026.830.17.081.00 | Grey fading to black |
The colors and references are identified in the launch feature and corroborated by Mido’s international page for the red model and Mido’s US page for the grey model. Time+Tide connects the design to the Mido SkyDiver and describes the dials as matte, with a vintage-inspired presentation; those are the publication’s design characterizations, not a claim that the models are reissues.

See Mido’s red-model specifications, Mido’s grey-model specifications and the launch review.
Straps: check the actual bundle
Mido identifies rubber strap reference M603018382 for the red model. Time+Tide’s launch article says the watch came with a quick-release tropic-style strap and a complimentary NATO strap. The manufacturer page reviewed here does not confirm that two-strap bundle, so check the listing or seller for what is included with a particular purchase.
