Mr Jones Watches’ The Golden Hour is an Andy Wilx-designed automatic watch that turns an illustrated English garden into an unconventional time display: a sundial pointer indicates the hour, a flower marks the minutes, and a seconds indicator moves beneath a golden bee. The official pages document a current model and a separate, sold-out limited edition, but do not establish what “2024 Version” means.
How The Golden Hour tells time
The dial replaces conventional numerals and hands with details in its garden illustration. On the current UK product page, a red sundial pointer indicates the hour, a red flower marks the minutes, and a moving indicator beneath the bee shows seconds. The US listing describes the minute marker as the position of the bee’s crown rather than the red flower, so check your regional product page for its wording.
Mr Jones Watches describes the design as inspired by an English garden and credits Andy Wilx. The brand says the bee is gilded with two tones of solid gold. Wilx’s statement on the product page is: “The formal English garden has always been a source of inspiration: with its symmetrical borders, manicured lawns and avenues of topiary.” Read the current UK product listing and its design description.

The 5 ATM rating is the manufacturer’s stated specification, not a result of an independent water-resistance test. The listing does not establish how the watch performs in particular real-world conditions.
Automatic movement and winding
Mr Jones Watches says the automatic movement has no battery and is powered by wrist motion. According to the brand, if the watch stops after being unworn, it can be restarted by wearing it or by turning the crown clockwise 20–30 times. This is the manufacturer’s operating guidance.

Current model, limited edition and the “2024 Version” label
The current product listing should not be confused with a separately named page for The Golden Hour (Limited edition). Mr Jones Watches says that edition comprised 100 numbered pieces and is no longer available on the UK site. The available official information does not explain exactly how that edition relates to the current model.
Nor do the official pages define “2024 Version” as a revision, launch year or edition name. A review of The Golden Hour published by WatchReviewBlog on July 15, 2024 discusses the design, wearability and movement, but it is one reviewer’s account, not a controlled test or proof that the label refers to a particular production change.
