The anniversary marks the modern revival of Mühle-Glashütte in 1994—not the debut of the Teutonia, which the manufacturer dates to 2002.
What is the anniversary Teutonia?
Mühle-Glashütte presented the Teutonia IV Big Date Edition 1994 as a centerpiece of its 2024 Edition 1994 anniversary series. The brand says it made 155 examples per dial color. Its name and styling connect the watch to the company’s 30-year anniversary, while its model lineage has a separate, later starting point.
Case, dial and movement
The manufacturer specifies a 41 mm stainless-steel case, a prominent big-date display and central seconds. The exhibition caseback has a sapphire-crystal window and reveals an anniversary rotor. Inside, the watch uses the MU9424-GD, a caliber that Mühle-Glashütte describes as debuting an in-house-developed movement module. These are manufacturer specifications; independent hands-on performance testing is not established by the cited sources.
Anniversary details appear on the dial’s minute track: the number 30 is highlighted in luminous anniversary blue, and 55 is replaced by 155, referencing the production limit for each dial color.

Why does “1994” appear on a Teutonia?
The “1994” designation refers to the modern revival of Mühle-Glashütte. Fratello’s December 17, 2024 coverage describes the watch as the final piece in the brand’s 30th-anniversary series and frames the anniversary around that revival: Fratello’s coverage of the Edition 1994.
The Teutonia itself came later. Mühle-Glashütte’s official history places the first Teutonia at the beginning of 2002, describing it as a watch with a silver guilloché dial and big date. Teutonia II and Teutonia IV later developed as branches of the family. The anniversary edition therefore combines a 1994 company milestone with a model family that began in 2002.

The 2024 announcement establishes the edition’s specifications and production limit, but the official sources do not establish current stock or a current transaction price for this exact watch. Treat launch information as historical rather than as proof that a new example can still be purchased. Mühle-Glashütte’s Teutonia collection page shows the broader family; its assortment and prices may change and should not be taken as an exact-model listing.
