Nomad’s Active Band Pro for Pixel Watch is a premium leather band designed specifically for the 45mm Google Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Watch 4. Its key design choice is a vegetable-tanned Horween leather exterior over a high-density molded-rubber interior: a dressier look than silicone, with better resistance to everyday sweat than leather touching the skin directly.
Important: it does not fit the 41mm Pixel Watch 3 or 4, Pixel Watch 1 or 2, Apple Watch, or other Android watches.

Quick verdict: This is a compelling everyday and office band for 45mm Pixel Watch 3 and 4 owners who want premium leather styling without an exposed-leather underside. It is not a waterproof or workout-first strap, and the current U.S. listed price is $79.
What Nomad is releasing
Nomad announced the Active Band Pro for Pixel Watch on August 20, 2025. The product is the company’s Pixel Watch-specific leather band, with a dedicated 45mm Pixel Watch lug connector rather than a conventional universal watch attachment. Nomad’s announcement positions it as a more practical leather option for daily wear.

The exterior is made from vegetable-tanned Horween leather. Underneath is molded rubber, while the lugs and buckle use 316L stainless steel. The leather supplies the traditional watch-strap appearance; the rubber lining helps reduce direct sweat absorption and odor during normal daily use.

This is not a universal 22mm band. Nomad also sells a separate Active Band Pro with standard 22mm quick-release spring bars, but that product should not be treated as interchangeable with the Pixel Watch version. The Pixel Watch model uses a dedicated connector. Verify both your watch generation and case size on the official product page before ordering.
Leather outside, rubber inside
The dual-material construction is the band’s main selling point. The Horween leather exterior gives it a more traditional, dressier appearance than a silicone or sport band, and Nomad expects it to darken and develop a natural patina. How quickly that happens will vary with wear, skin contact, climate, color, and care.

The wrist-facing rubber layer adds structure and is intended to limit sweat absorption and odor. That makes the design more practical for commuting, office wear, travel, and light daily activity than a leather strap with leather against the wrist.
It does not make the band waterproof. Nomad specifically says the leather is not waterproof. The rubber lining should therefore be understood as a sweat-handling feature, not permission to swim or shower with the band.

First-look impressions
In its first-look coverage, 9to5Google reported that the band felt premium and thick without being excessively heavy. The reviewer also found the rubber interior comfortable during work in hot, humid North Carolina conditions and used it with both dressier clothing and outdoor daily wear.

The reviewer reported that the dedicated connectors felt as secure as Google’s official bands, while being somewhat easier to remove. An earlier test unit reportedly used somewhat different leather and did not develop as much patina as a later brown sample.
Those are useful hands-on observations over several months, not laboratory measurements or a broad durability study. They support the band’s everyday-use case, but they do not establish long-term waterproofness, universal odor resistance, or lifetime connector reliability.

The Pixel Watch’s own water-resistance rating does not change the band’s material limitations. The watch may tolerate conditions that the leather band should still avoid.

Price and shipping history
The launch coverage listed a price of $69, with preorders opening on August 20, 2025. Shipping dates differed between the cited launch sources: 9to5Google reported October 29, while Nomad’s announcement listed November 4. The product therefore shipped on a late-October or early-November 2025 schedule depending on the listing being cited.
That launch price is now historical. Nomad’s U.S. product pages checked on August 18, 2026 listed the Pixel Watch version at $79. The U.S. pages also advertise free standard shipping on orders of $50 or more and a two-year extended warranty. Prices, shipping terms, and regional availability can change.
How it compares with the alternatives
- Google’s first-party bands: the straightforward choice for official fit and Google support, though this dossier does not establish a current price comparison.
- Bellroy’s leather option: another premium Made for Google-style alternative. The 9to5Google reviewer criticized its comfort and sizing, particularly for the 41mm version; that remains an attributed opinion rather than a universal verdict.
- Silicone or sport bands: better for swimming, heavy workouts, and simple washing, but less dressy.
- Fabric or nylon bands: potentially better for lightweight comfort, but they do not offer the same leather appearance.
- Generic 22mm bands: only appropriate when paired with a watch that uses standard quick-release connections. They are not substitutes for this Pixel Watch-specific model.
Who should buy it?
Buy it if you own a 45mm Pixel Watch 3 or 4 and want a single band that can move between office clothes, travel, dinners, and ordinary outdoor use. The leather exterior and stainless-steel hardware make it substantially dressier than a basic silicone strap, while the rubber underside addresses one of leather’s biggest daily-wear drawbacks.
