The NOMOS Tangente 38 Date – 175 Years Watchmaking Glashütte is a 2024 collection of 31 color variants, each limited to 175 pieces. Its shared foundation is the hand-wound DUW 4101 movement and the Tangente’s oversized date display. The standard Tangente 38 Date reference 130 is a separate product listing with a white dial; its specifications are useful context, but they do not identify any particular anniversary variant.
What the 175 Years collection includes
NOMOS introduced the anniversary collection at Watches and Wonders 2024 as 31 colorful versions of the Tangente 38 Date. Each color version is limited to 175 pieces. The manufacturer says the watches were regulated according to chronometer values; that wording does not establish a named third-party chronometer certification. NOMOS’s announcement describes the series as “Tangente date times 31.”

The anniversary release identifies the hand-wound DUW 4101, made by NOMOS in Glashütte, Germany, and fitted with the NOMOS swing system. NOMOS’s video description, published May 19, 2024, also characterizes the watches as hand-wound and individually colored: NOMOS’s collection video.
Standard Tangente 38 Date reference 130 specifications
The manufacturer’s reference 130 product page describes a standard Tangente 38 Date with a galvanized white silver-plated dial, not one of the anniversary colorways. NOMOS calls its prominent date display extra-large and says the date mechanism is patented. See the current reference 130 listing.

NOMOS lists the DUW 4101 as 2.8 mm high and 32.1 mm in diameter, with 23 jewels. These are published specifications, not independent measurements or a timekeeping test.
What the movement details do—and do not—establish
A technical sheet dated January 2022 adds detail about the DUW 4101: a patented date mechanism, NOMOS swing system, stop-seconds mechanism, Glashütte stopwork, three-quarter plate, regulation in six positions, tempered blue screws, and decorated rhodium-plated surfaces. The sheet also says technical changes are reserved, so the live product page is the better reference for current listing specifications. Read the January 2022 technical sheet.

The available manufacturer information does not provide an independent accuracy result for either the standard reference or a specific anniversary colorway. “Regulated according to chronometer values” is the anniversary announcement’s description; it should not be expanded into a claim of certification without evidence of a specific certifying body.
How to identify an anniversary variant before buying
The reference 130 page is not evidence that a given anniversary color is currently available. NOMOS announced the collection’s production limits, but current inventory, variant-specific market pricing, and seller authorization are not established by that announcement. Confirm the exact color and reference directly with the seller before treating a listing as one of the 175 Years editions.

- Match the listing’s exact colorway and reference to the anniversary collection, rather than relying on a generic “Tangente 38 Date” title.
- Verify price and currency in your market, plus whether the watch is new, pre-owned, or otherwise described.
- Confirm the seller’s authorization status, warranty terms, included strap, and return policy.
- For a strap change, check 19 mm compatibility against the precise watch and the desired strap length.
NOMOS’s reference 130 page displays a price of 2,620 in its NOM currency field, which does not clearly identify a reader-facing currency. Treat it as a page-listed figure, not a confirmed anniversary-edition price; check the live listing for the currency and current amount.

The reference 130’s listed 37.5 mm diameter and 47.7 mm lug-to-lug length give a more useful sense of its footprint than diameter alone; its 6.8 mm height is notably slim on paper. Those dimensions describe reference 130 and should not be assumed for every anniversary watch without checking that variant’s listing. No hands-on wear assessment is available here, so comfort, fit, and perceived dial legibility remain individual and untested.

The 3 atm splash-proof rating is a limited water-resistance claim, not a swimming or diving rating. The manual-winding movement also means winding is part of ordinary ownership; NOMOS states up to 42 hours of reserve, not a guaranteed measured duration for every watch.
