What is the 31-color NOMOS Tangente 38 date collection?
Officially named Tangente 38 date – 175 Years Watchmaking Glashütte, the collection was presented by NOMOS at Watches and Wonders Geneva in April 2024. The company described it as 31 different color compositions of its classic Tangente 38 date, each limited to 175 pieces, commemorating the anniversary of watchmaking in Glashütte. Color is the collection’s central distinction, but the available manufacturer text confirms the number of compositions without listing every colorway by name. When comparing an individual example, look closely at the main dial, the contrast around the chapter ring and markers, and the colors used for the small-seconds display and date window. These details can make two otherwise related watches read quite differently, even when both retain the Tangente 38 date identity.

The standard Tangente 38 date is a manually wound stainless-steel watch. NOMOS’s official product page lists a 37.5 mm case diameter, 6.8 mm height, 47.7 mm lug-to-lug length, 19 mm lug width, sapphire crystal and 5 atm water resistance. These are specifications for the standard model shown on that page, not verified specifications for every anniversary reference; confirm the individual limited-edition listing before applying them to a particular colorway. - Identify the exact reference number and confirm that the listing is for the 175 Years Watchmaking Glashütte edition.
