Orient formally calls the dial red, while “oxblood” is a useful descriptive label for its deeper burgundy appearance. This is a specifications-led review, not a claim of personal hands-on testing.
What is the red Orient Kamasu?
It is an automatic Kamasu diver with a red sunray dial, stainless-steel case and bracelet, and day-and-date display. Orient’s current US product page lists the model as RA-AA0003R39B. Suffixes and availability can vary by market, so check the exact reference on the listing where you plan to buy.
The color question is less settled than the reference number: Orient’s dial-color field says “Red,” and the independent reference Bezelga describes it as “Red (oxblood) sunray.” Oxblood or burgundy is therefore a visual shorthand, not Orient’s formal color name. The red may look deeper in some lighting and brighter in others; screens and product photography can also shift its appearance. Compare images taken in different light before deciding whether it matches the shade you want.

Will the case fit your wrist?
The 41.88 mm diameter, 47 mm lug-to-lug length, and 12.8 mm thickness provide a more useful starting point than diameter alone. Compare those figures with a watch you already wear comfortably, or try the Kamasu on if possible. Measurements cannot establish how it will sit on every wrist, and the bracelet’s fit can also affect the impression of size and comfort.
What the movement and water rating establish
Orient lists its F6922 automatic movement as hand-windable and hackable: the seconds hand stops when the crown is pulled to the time-setting position, allowing more precise setting. The listed reserve is approximately 40 hours, and the watch displays the day and date. Those specifications do not establish the real-world accuracy of an individual watch.

- Black dial and metallic strap or bracelet
- Wr 200mt
Orient specifies 200 m water resistance, a screw-down crown, and a unidirectional bezel. That is the manufacturer’s rating, not evidence of a water test for this review. Follow the manufacturer’s guidance for operation and maintenance, and ensure the crown is properly secured before water exposure.
Bracelet or strap?
The cited US listing pairs the watch with a stainless-steel bracelet and specifies 22 mm lugs. Orient also lists a 22 mm Kamasu/Kanno rubber strap. That width is a starting point, not a guarantee that every third-party strap or replacement bracelet will fit cleanly. Check compatibility with the exact watch reference and accessory before ordering.

- Confirm the reference and SKU suffix for your market; RA-AA0003R39B is the examined US listing.
- Assess the dial from varied lighting and images rather than relying on a single screen or product photo.
- Compare the case dimensions with a watch you own or try the Kamasu on to judge fit.
- Verify any replacement strap or bracelet against the precise reference, even if it is listed as 22 mm.
- Check the seller’s current stock, price, and warranty terms. Orient’s US page lists a three-year warranty, but coverage terms should be confirmed for the relevant market.
