The 2025 Orient Star Layered Skeleton colour update pairs a regular champagne-gold model with a limited mint-green version. The two-layer dial, paisley-shaped semi-skeleton opening and open-work power-reserve display remain the collection’s defining features; model numbers and limited quantities differ between the English-language and Japanese releases.
What is new in the 2025 Layered Skeleton release?
Orient Star announced the new colours in English on January 31, 2025, describing them as light shades reminiscent of the seaside. Epson Japan gave March 13, 2025 as the Japanese release date. The champagne-gold watch is the regular model in both announcements; the mint-green watch is limited. Orient Star’s English announcement and Epson Japan’s release use different regional reference numbers and mint-green quantities, so the figures below should be read market by market.
| Market and source | Champagne gold | Mint green | Mint edition and configuration |
|---|---|---|---|
| English-language release | RE-AV0B10G, regular | RE-AV0B11E | 700 pieces; five-link SUS316L bracelet, as described in the release |
| Japan release | RK-AV0B10G | RK-AV0B12E | 400 pieces for Japan; bracelet plus an additional calf-leather strap |
The English release’s 700-piece statement and Epson Japan’s 400-piece domestic-edition figure apply to their respective market descriptions. They do not establish one combined worldwide total.
How the dial creates the Layered Skeleton look
The dial is built from two layers, a construction Orient Star says takes inspiration from business-suit textiles. A paisley-shaped semi-skeleton opening cuts through the dial to reveal part of the movement, while the open-work power-reserve display also leaves the mechanism visible. Together, the openings make the watch read as both a patterned dial and a view into its movement.

For the 2025 update, the manufacturer frames champagne gold and mint green as seaside or Mediterranean-inspired colours. The effect is a lighter variation on the collection’s suit-inspired design rather than a change to its underlying construction.
How the two colourways differ
- Champagne gold: The regular model. In the English release it is reference RE-AV0B10G and comes on grey calf leather; Epson Japan identifies its version as RK-AV0B10G.
- Mint green: The limited model. The English release calls it RE-AV0B11E and describes a five-link SUS316L bracelet. Japan uses reference RK-AV0B12E and specifies a bracelet with an additional calf-leather strap.
These strap details come from separate regional announcements; check the reference and market listing for the exact configuration offered where you plan to buy.

Movement, dimensions and core specifications
Both colours use Orient Star’s in-house F6F44 automatic movement, which can also be wound by hand. The maker publishes a 50-hour power reserve and accuracy of +25 to −15 seconds per day. Epson Japan identifies its accuracy figure as static accuracy and notes that actual rate can vary with the watch’s position, mainspring wind and temperature; this is a manufacturer specification, not an independent test result.

Prices and availability depend on market
Epson Sales Japan Corporation listed suggested retail prices of ¥104,500 for RK-AV0B10G and ¥117,700 for RK-AV0B12E in its 2025 announcement. These are Japanese suggested retail prices, not a universal price for the regional references.
