What is the Tiffany Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711?
It is a limited commemorative version of the Nautilus reference 5711, officially named the Nautilus Ref. 5711/1A-018 “Tiffany & Co.” Patek Philippe announced 170 watches in 2021 for the anniversary of its relationship with Tiffany. Phillips describes the Nautilus line as beginning in 1976 with reference 3700; the 5711 arrived in 2006. How can you recognize the 5711/1A-018?
Tiffany Blue double-signed dial
The brass dial plate has Tiffany Blue lacquer and the Nautilus’s horizontal embossing. “Patek Philippe” appears at 12 o’clock and “Tiffany & Co.” at 6 o’clock. The baton hour markers are blackened 18K white gold. Patek Philippe’s 2021 announcement said Tiffany was unique among its retailers in having its name appear on a Patek Philippe dial. Caseback anniversary inscription
The sapphire display back bears the inscription “170th Anniversary 1851-2021 Tiffany & Co. – Patek Philippe.” The dial signatures and this inscription are defining visible features, but they are not by themselves a complete test of authenticity.

Why does Tiffany appear on a Patek Philippe dial?
Patek Philippe says the companies established their relationship in 1851, when Tiffany became its first official retail partner in the United States. The 2021 edition marked the partnership’s 170th anniversary. Earlier Tiffany special editions included 450 watches in 2001 and 100 in 2009, according to Patek Philippe’s announcement. The 5711/1A-018 is notable not just for its dial color, but for the retailer’s name being printed alongside the maker’s on the dial. How many were made, and where were they offered?
Patek Philippe announced a run of 170 watches, to be available exclusively through Tiffany boutiques in New York, Beverly Hills, and San Francisco that carried Patek Philippe. The announcement also set aside one example for a Phillips auction, with 100% of proceeds benefiting The Nature Conservancy. How much did the Tiffany Blue Nautilus sell for?
National Jeweler reported that the launch-era retail price was $52,000 and that the Phillips charity-auction example sold for about $6.5 million in 2021.
