Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThe Pequignet Attitude Onyx stands out among black-dial dress watches because its dial is natural onyx, not simply a black coating or lacquer. Its 39 mm steel case, rose-gold-tone details and maker-specified 65-hour power reserve make it a distinctive option; a 40 mm Longines offers a steel bracelet and up to 72 hours, while the smaller 36.4 mm NOMOS Orion neomatik takes a more minimalist approach. The right choice depends on wrist fit, dial material and how you want to wear the watch.
What distinguishes the Pequignet Attitude Onyx?
Pequignet describes the Attitude Onyx’s dial as natural onyx, a chalcedony it characterizes as opaque black with a fine grain. The stone is paired with 5N rose-gold-plated hands and indexes, creating a material and color contrast that conventional black dials do not share. That natural-stone execution is the model’s clearest point of distinction.

The stainless-steel case measures 39 mm across, 46.85 mm from lug to lug and 9.20 mm thick, with an 18 mm lug width. Those dimensions offer more useful fit context than diameter alone: lug-to-lug length can affect how a watch sits across the wrist, so try it on if possible. Pequignet rates it at 5 ATM water resistance.

What does the Attitude’s movement specification tell you?
Pequignet specifies its Calibre Initial with bidirectional winding, a 4 Hz frequency, 21 jewels, stop seconds and a 65-hour power reserve. The reserve is a manufacturer specification, not an independently measured result. Pequignet’s Attitude collection page says the movement is designed and assembled at its Morteau manufacture and uses 72% French-origin components; those provenance details are the manufacturer’s claims.
Longines publishes an “up to 72 hours” reserve for the listed Master Collection reference. The NOMOS product details cited here identify the DUW 3001 automatic movement but do not establish a reserve figure, so a numerical reserve comparison with that model is not available from those details.

Which one should you choose?
Choose the Pequignet for a natural-stone dial
The Attitude Onyx is the clearest fit if the dial material is central to your choice. Its onyx surface, rose-gold-tone accents and manufacturer-described movement provenance set it apart from a more conventional black dial. Consider its 39 mm diameter alongside the 46.85 mm lug-to-lug measurement when judging fit.
Choose the Longines for a bracelet and a near-40 mm case
The Longines is 40 mm, just 1 mm wider in stated diameter than the Pequignet, and comes on a steel bracelet. Its published reserve is up to 72 hours, compared with 65 hours for the Attitude Onyx. Its maker lists 3 bar water resistance, versus 5 ATM for the Pequignet; treat both as maker-published ratings and consult the brands’ guidance for intended use.

Choose the NOMOS for a smaller case and leather strap
At 36.4 mm, the NOMOS is the smallest of these three by case diameter. It pairs a black dial with a black leather strap and an automatic DUW 3001 movement. That configuration suits someone seeking a smaller, more minimalist presentation, but the cited product details do not provide comparable reserve or water-resistance figures.
