The Rado Anatom Automatic R10200152 makes its case through shape: a cylindrical, bevelled sapphire crystal flows visually into a sculptural case and an integrated ceramic bracelet. It revives an unmistakably 1980s design with an automatic movement, but the published specifications cannot tell you how it will feel on your wrist or how accurately an individual example will keep time.
Why the Rado Anatom still looks different
Rado dates the Anatom’s debut to 1983. Its defining feature is a cylindrical metallised sapphire crystal, bevelled on both sides, designed to appear continuous with the case and bracelet. Rather than treating the crystal as a flat window set into a conventional case, the Anatom makes that curved, extended profile the centerpiece of the watch.
On reference R10200152, the black high-tech ceramic bracelet is interrupted by yellow-gold-coloured PVD-coated steel middle links. Rado describes the dial as black lacquer with irregular horizontal lines, gold-coloured hands and indexes with white Super-LumiNova coating, a moving anchor at 12 o’clock, and a date at 6 o’clock. These are manufacturer descriptions; they do not establish how the dial reads in different lighting or how the surfaces look in person. Rado Anatom Automatic R10200152
What changed in the modern revival
The current Anatom is a revival, not a dimensionally or mechanically identical reissue. Rado’s press booklet says the new 32.5 mm versions are larger than the original and that the original quartz movement was replaced with an automatic mechanical movement. Swatch Group says the 2024 ceramic-bracelet models followed the 2023 relaunch, whose design used a black matt high-tech ceramic bezel and textured rubber strap. The later bracelet versions extend the integrated visual line into ceramic; the 2024 announcement describes the case tapering into a bracelet that continues to 20 mm wide. Choosing the bracelet or strap version
The R10200152 is the black ceramic-bracelet configuration with gold-coloured PVD middle links. Do not assume its materials, colors, or price apply to strap versions. For example, Rado’s US listing for red-rubber reference R10201409 specifies a red rubber strap, ceramic case elements, steel end links, and a black-to-grapefruit-red gradient dial. That page also lists a 32.5 mm diameter, 11.3 mm thickness, calibre R766, and a 72-hour reserve; its displayed US price was $3,850 at the time represented by the listing, and may change. How to judge fit and ownership expectations
The published 32.5 mm diameter and 11.3 mm thickness give a starting point, but dimensions alone cannot establish wrist presence or comfort. The curved crystal and integrated bracelet make the Anatom’s shape especially important to assess in person. No firsthand wear test or wear-duration report is established here, so comfort should not be treated as a verified feature merely because Rado describes it that way.
Likewise, the stated 72-hour power reserve is a manufacturer figure, not a guarantee of the measured reserve or timekeeping performance of every watch. If accuracy, bracelet feel, or long-term serviceability will determine your decision, seek an opportunity to try the exact reference and consult current service information for your region before buying.

Who the Rado Anatom is for
The R10200152 is most compelling for someone who wants a watch led by sculptural, retro-futuristic design rather than a conventional round case. Its distinctive crystal-to-bracelet line, ceramic-and-PVD construction, and modern automatic movement make the revival more than a visual reprint of the 1983 original. The trade-off is that its appeal depends heavily on liking that unusual form, while the available published specifications cannot substitute for trying it on.
