Rogbid’s SR08 Ultra is a real smart ring with a built-in OLED touchscreen. Announced in December 2024, it was marketed by Rogbid as the “world’s first smart ring with a display.” The claim should be treated as company marketing rather than an independently verified historical fact.
The ring’s appeal is straightforward: it can show basic information such as the time, steps and heart rate without requiring a phone. The trade-off is equally important: a screen can add thickness, power consumption and complexity to a product whose comfort, battery life, app support and sensor reliability matter more than novelty for many buyers.

What is the Rogbid SR08 Ultra?
The SR08 Ultra is a health-and-fitness smart ring with a small integrated display and touch interface. Rogbid introduced it in December 2024, with launch coverage appearing on December 15 and December 17. Unlike conventional display-free rings such as Oura Ring, Samsung Galaxy Ring and RingConn, the SR08 Ultra is designed to show selected information directly on the ring.
That makes it different from three other types of wearable:
#1 Best Overall
- 【Instant Data at a Glance, Unique Display】 Check your heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep score, battery level, and even incoming call notifications (name/number) right on the ring's screen.
- 【Effortless Gesture Control】 Customize gestures for iPhone—effortlessly flip pages, scroll through e-books, or swipe through short videos without touching your phone.
- 【Advanced Health Monitoring】 Equipped with professional-grade sensors to track heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen, stress levels, and sleep stages. Gain trends and insights via the RWFit app.
- 【 Multiple Sport Modes & Fitness Tracking】 Automatically track daily steps, distance, and active minutes. Capture precise data for each activity to better achieve your fitness goals. Perfect as a fitness ring for both men and women.
- 【IP68 Water-Resistant & Stylish Design】 Built with a robust IP68 rating—wear it confidently while washing hands, sweating during workouts, or even in the rain.
- A ring with indicator LEDs or vibration only.
- A ring that records data but requires a phone app to view it.
- A ring with a genuine embedded screen that can display information on demand.
The central feature is not a smartwatch-style app platform. The available launch material describes a compact OLED touchscreen for quick checks, not messaging, maps or a broad library of wearable apps.
Android Headlines reported on the original launch, while Gizmochina covered the December 15 announcement.
What can the SR08 Ultra display?
Reported functions include:
- Time
- Step count
- Heart rate
- Blood-oxygen readings
- Sleep information
- Walking distance
- Calories burned
- Workout and activity information
- Activity reminders and workout goals
This could be useful during a walk or workout when reaching for a phone is inconvenient. It also makes the ring more self-contained than a screen-free model. However, the display’s practical value depends on details that were not independently documented in the available sources, including its brightness, resolution, viewing angle, screen size and outdoor readability.

A very small touchscreen also has obvious limitations. Sweat, moisture, gloves and accidental touches can make interaction difficult, while users with larger fingers may find precise controls awkward. A screen does not turn the ring into a miniature smartwatch.
Rogbid SR08 Ultra specifications
| Specification | Reported or listed detail | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Model | Rogbid SR08 Ultra | The original display-ring model covered by the 2024 launch reports |
| Display | OLED touchscreen | The defining feature; independent screen testing was not found |
| Weight | About 4 grams | Reported specification, not an independent measurement |
| Width | 8.0mm | Manufacturer or launch-report figure |
| Thickness | 2.5mm | Manufacturer or launch-report figure |
| Material | Titanium alloy | Claimed specification |
| Water resistance | 5 ATM | A pressure-resistance rating, not a guarantee for every water activity |
| Ring battery | 3–5 days | Claimed or reported endurance; actual results vary |
| Charging case | Up to 20 days total | Refers to the ring plus case, not one charge of the ring |
| Sizes | 7 through 12 | Shown on the retrieved SR08 Ultra regional listing |
| Colors | Black, silver and gold | Shown on the retrieved official listing |
| Phone support | Android and iOS app | Reported launch support; minimum OS versions were not supplied |
The reported 8mm width and 2.5mm thickness are particularly relevant to comfort. Display hardware may make the SR08 Ultra feel more substantial than a conventional screen-free ring. Finger size also changes with temperature, exercise and time of day, so buyers should measure carefully. Smart rings cannot be resized after purchase.
What does GPS tracking mean?
Launch coverage says the SR08 Ultra supports GPS-related exercise tracking, but the available sources do not clarify whether it contains its own satellite receiver or uses a paired phone’s location services.
Rank #2
- Before purchasing: When you are not sure about the size of your ring, you can first purchase the size kit. This kit will help you choose the ring size that best suits you. Or refer to the ring size data in the picture for purchase.
- Comprehensive Health tracking: This smart ring can detect your physical health monitoring data, sleep monitoring data, and exercise monitoring data, providing you with valuable information about your health. It can also synchronize data with Apple Health. According to the gender options set by the user, a new female cycle function will also be added to help women record their cycles.
- Fashionable, durable and waterproof design: The outer ring is made of high-quality stainless steel, which is long-lasting. The highly textured appearance design is suitable for wearing in various occasions. The waterproof design ensures that the health ring remains unaffected during daily use.
- Display screen:The led display with touch control enables you to monitor your time, steps, heart rate, blood oxygen, battery level, etc. at any time without taking out your phone, allowing you to always know your health condition.
- Gesture control: You can easily browse tiktok, turn pages of e-books, take remote photos, etc. through air gesture control. Let you enjoy a convenient and interesting interactive experience.
That distinction matters:
- Built-in GPS: The ring can record location without a phone, but GPS normally increases power consumption.
- Connected GPS: The ring relies on the phone’s GPS, a common approach for compact wearables.
- GPS-supported app tracking: Marketing may describe route recording without meaning that the ring itself contains GPS hardware.
It would be inaccurate to call the SR08 Ultra a standalone GPS device without confirmation from its technical documentation.
Battery, water resistance and health limitations
Rogbid and launch coverage put ring battery life at approximately three to five days, with up to 20 days when the charging case is included. Those figures are usage-dependent. Frequent screen checks, workouts, GPS use, notifications, cold temperatures and other features can reduce endurance.
The charging-case figure should not be read as 20 days from a single ring charge. It describes the combined operating time made possible by recharging the ring from the case.
The 5 ATM rating indicates resistance to a specified level of water pressure under test conditions. It is not the same as an unrestricted diving rating and should not be treated as a blanket promise for hot tubs, saunas, high-pressure water or every salt-water situation. Check Rogbid’s applicable exclusions before using the ring in demanding conditions.
The SR08 Ultra is marketed as a wellness device. There is no evidence in the supplied material establishing medical certification or clinical validation. Heart-rate, blood-oxygen, sleep and calorie figures can be affected by fit, movement, skin contact and software algorithms. Do not use the ring to diagnose a condition or replace medical equipment.

Rogbid called it the world’s first smart ring with a display. Rogbid’s own store used that positioning, and multiple technology outlets repeated it.

What the available evidence does not establish is a comprehensive, independent audit of every earlier commercial product, prototype, research project or regional device. The answer also depends on how “smart ring” and “display” are defined. A comparison might include OLED screens, segmented displays, e-ink, notification LEDs or experimental prototypes, and those categories are not necessarily equivalent.
The careful conclusion is therefore that Rogbid launched the SR08 Ultra as what it described as the world’s first commercially available smart ring with a built-in display. The superlative should be attributed to Rogbid rather than presented as settled industry history.
Price and availability
Rogbid’s retrieved regional product page listed the SR08 Ultra at $59.99, with black, silver and gold finishes and sizes 7 through 12. The historical launch price reported by Android Headlines was $89.99.
These figures are not interchangeable. The $89.99 price belongs to launch coverage, while the $59.99 figure came from a regional storefront at the time it was retrieved. Country, currency, promotions, stock, taxes and shipping can change the amount shown at checkout.
Rogbid’s store says orders are generally shipped within 72 hours and may take approximately 7–20 days to arrive, and advertises a 12-month warranty. Those are vendor-stated policies that may vary by region or product. Confirm the applicable return window, warranty terms and responsibility for return postage before ordering.

The SR08 Ultra is no longer the only display-equipped ring in Rogbid’s catalog. Current catalog and store pages also show the newer SR15 Ultra and SR16 Ultra.

| Model | Current listed positioning | Details shown in the supplied material |
|---|---|---|
| SR08 Ultra | Original display-ring model | $59.99 on a retrieved regional listing; sizes 7–12; black, silver and gold |
| SR15 Ultra | Display, vibration alerts and health monitoring | $99.99 listed; sizes 8–14; Titan Black, Lunar Silver and Solar Gold |
| SR16 Ultra | Screen, call display and vibration alerts | $99.99 listed; sizes 8–14; black and silver |
These listings suggest that the SR08 Ultra is an older model rather than necessarily Rogbid’s current flagship. They do not prove that the newer rings are objectively better: independent testing of battery life, comfort, accuracy, software support and call-display performance was not supplied.

Compare the exact size range, included charging equipment, app compatibility, update support, warranty and return terms for the model you intend to buy. Do not assume that information from the SR08 carries over to the SR15 or SR16.
Who should consider the SR08 Ultra?
The SR08 Ultra makes the most sense for someone who specifically wants glanceable information on a ring and is willing to accept the uncertainty that comes with a relatively unusual product. The display may be convenient for checking time, steps or selected workout metrics without opening a phone.
It is a weaker fit if your priorities are clinically validated health measurements, long battery life, a minimalist form factor, mature third-party software or extensive independent reviews. Buyers who do not need on-ring information may find a display-free ring’s simpler design more appealing.
Before purchasing, check:
- Whether the screen is genuinely useful for your routine.
- Whether an 8mm-wide ring will be comfortable on your preferred finger.
- The exact ring size and whether a sizing kit or exchange is available.
- Whether three to five days of claimed battery life is acceptable.
- Whether GPS requires a phone.
- The current Android and iOS app compatibility.
- Whether health readings are being treated as wellness estimates rather than medical data.
- The applicable shipping, warranty and return conditions.
- Whether the SR08 is still the best-supported Rogbid model for your region.
For buyers comparing categories, Oura, Samsung Galaxy Ring, RingConn and Ultrahuman represent screen-free alternatives with different software and health-tracking priorities. They should not be treated as direct display-ring equivalents, and current prices or feature policies should be checked separately.
