Is the GS05249/04 a real military reissue?
Not on the evidence Rotary provides for this model. The brand calls the design vintage-military-inspired and links that styling to its history, but does not identify the GS05249/04 as a remake of a specific historic watch or as a watch previously issued to service members.
In a March 15, 2020 review, Shaun at McGST described it as a modern watch drawing on vintage military design and said the word “Heritage” could be misleading if read as a claim of historic remake. That is the reviewer’s interpretation, not a definitive account of Rotary’s military history.

What is the difference between GS05249/04 and GB05249/04?
The clearest distinction is the strap: GS05249/04 is the khaki canvas-strap reference, while GB05249/04 is the titanium-bracelet version. Is the Rotary GS05249/04 any good?
