What the Resolute 36 is—and what makes it distinctive
The Resolute 36 is RZE’s smaller take on its Resolute field-watch design. Its proportions and light titanium construction are central to its appeal, while the multi-layered dial, applied indices and custom luminous hands give it more visual detail than a strictly utilitarian field watch.
RZE lists four dial colorways in its launch material: Halcyon (light blue), Waypoint (black), Tempo (red) and Mojito (green). The manufacturer’s list does not establish which versions are currently available, so check the live product listing before choosing a color.
Case dimensions, weight and fit
RZE specifies a 36 mm case diameter, 9.5 mm thickness, 42.3 mm lug-to-lug length and 20 mm lug width. The short lug-to-lug measurement and low profile may suit people who find larger field watches cumbersome, or who want a watch that sits discreetly beneath a cuff. Diameter alone cannot predict fit: wrist shape, strap or bracelet length, and the relatively broad 20 mm lugs all affect how the watch looks and feels.

Hodinkee’s 2025 review describes its example as balanced and comfortable, with a 36 g watch head and about 90 g on the titanium bracelet. Those are the reviewer’s reported weights and wearing impressions, not a guarantee of how every configuration or wrist will feel. WatchTime’s review likewise characterizes the 36 mm watch as a compact package and notes the bracelet tapers from 20 mm to 16 mm.
Titanium case and construction
RZE specifies brushed Grade 2 titanium with its proprietary UltraHex coating, which the company says has a hardness of approximately 1200 Hv. That is a manufacturer claim about the coating, not evidence that the watch is scratchproof. The caseback is solid titanium and screw-down, and RZE specifies a VITON gasket.

The watch has a screw-down crown and a stated water resistance of 100 m / 10 ATM. RZE also specifies a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner side. These construction details make the Resolute 36 more than a dress-oriented compact watch, though water resistance should not be treated as a substitute for checking the crown is fully secured or for observing the maker’s care guidance.
Movement and timekeeping
The movement is the automatic Miyota 9039. Hodinkee describes it as a no-date caliber beating at 4 Hz, with a 42-hour power reserve; the review quotes the manufacturer’s accuracy range as -10 to +30 seconds per day. That range is a stated specification, not a promise that each watch will run at a particular rate.

For its individual review sample, Hodinkee measured an average of +4 seconds per day across six positions on a Weishi 1900 timing machine. This is one reviewer’s result for one sample, not a production-wide accuracy figure.

RZE describes a multi-layered dial with applied indices and custom hands treated with Super-LumiNova. The layered construction and color choices give the watch a more distinctive appearance than a plain, high-contrast field dial, while retaining a clear time display.

Titanium bracelet

20 mm straps
The Resolute 36 has a standard 20 mm lug width, and Hodinkee reports that owners can use their own 20 mm straps as well as quick-change rubber and textile options. Lug width alone does not guarantee compatibility with every strap. Before buying, check the strap’s end shape and thickness, spring-bar fit, and attachment or fastening style; also confirm that any quick-change mechanism clears the case and lugs.

How the 36 mm model compares with the original Resolute
The original Resolute is the relevant larger same-family alternative. Hodinkee describes it as a 40 mm model with a Miyota 90S5 movement, 100 m water resistance and an enamel dial. The Resolute 36 instead uses a Miyota 9039 and a multi-layered dial, according to RZE and the review coverage. The available information does not provide a like-for-like current price comparison, so compare current listings, configuration and destination-specific costs if deciding between them.
Price, availability and buying checks
Captured RZE listing data for the Mojito showed a US$689 price, but the page’s stock messages conflicted: one indicated out of stock while structured listing data indicated availability. That captured price and conflicting inventory information do not establish today’s price or stock. Check the live listing and checkout for your location, including shipping, taxes or duties, available variants, warranty and return terms. RZE’s launch material described a 14-day return period after receipt, but the applicable conditions and geography should be confirmed in the current policy.
