Yes—Samsung brought the Galaxy Fit3 to the United States after initially ruling out a U.S. release. Samsung announced nationwide availability beginning January 9, 2025, at a launch price of $59.99. However, the former U.S. product page now redirects to the Galaxy Watch8, so shoppers in 2026 should verify current stock, pricing, warranty coverage, and retailer return terms before buying.
The Galaxy Fit3 U.S. launch was delayed, not canceled
When Samsung introduced the Galaxy Fit3 internationally on February 23, 2024, it said the fitness band would be sold in select European, Asian, Central American, and South American markets—but not the United States. Samsung attributed that decision to regional “market trends and needs,” as reported by Android Central.

That position changed. On January 9, 2025, Samsung announced that the Fit3 was available nationwide in the U.S. through Samsung.com, national retailers, and carriers. Its U.S. launch price was $59.99, with Gray, Silver, and Pink Gold versions available. The original announcement is documented by Samsung Newsroom.

What is the Galaxy Fit3?
The Galaxy Fit3 is a fitness band rather than a full smartwatch. It has a 1.6-inch display, an aluminum body, Bluetooth connectivity, and a 208mAh battery. Samsung claims up to 13 days of battery life, although actual endurance depends on settings, notifications, workouts, and other usage.

- Vibrant 1.6” AMOLED Display – Large, high-res screen with smooth touch for easy navigation
- 5ATM & IP68 Water Resistance – Swim-ready and dust-resistant for active lifestyles
- Up to 14 Days Battery Life – Powerful 208mAh battery for long-lasting performance

- International Model No Warranty in the US. ONLY compatible with Android devices. Samsung Pay - Not Supported. NOT compatible with iPhone or iOS devices.
Samsung says the display is 45% wider than the Galaxy Fit2’s. The band has an IP68 rating, and Samsung’s U.S. launch announcement also lists 5ATM water resistance. Its sensors include an optical heart-rate sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, and light sensor. Storage and memory are listed as 256MB and 16MB respectively. See Samsung’s U.S. specifications and support page for the current details.
What can the Fit3 track?
The band connects to Samsung Health and can track everyday wellness and exercise data, including:

These are general wellness features, not medical diagnostic tools. Heart-rate, blood-oxygen, stress, and sleep readings should not be used to diagnose or treat a health condition. Fall detection and SOS also depend on a nearby compatible phone for communication with emergency services.

The low price reflects deliberate limitations. The Fit3 is not a low-cost Galaxy Watch and does not run Samsung’s full smartwatch platform.

- No iPhone support: Samsung’s U.S. documentation specifies Android compatibility only.
- No built-in GPS: Outdoor route tracking relies on the paired phone.
- No cellular service: It cannot make calls independently through LTE.
- No ECG: The band does not perform electrocardiograms.
- No body-composition measurement: That Galaxy Watch feature is not included.
- No Wear OS apps: You cannot install the broader app selection available on a Galaxy Watch.
- No custom typing on the band: Notifications can use preset replies, which can be edited from the phone through Galaxy Wearable, but you cannot type a new response directly on the Fit3.
The GPS and Wear OS distinctions were also noted in contemporary coverage by Android Central.
Does it require a Samsung phone?
No. Samsung’s U.S. support material describes the Fit3 as compatible with Android phones generally, not exclusively Galaxy phones. You use the Galaxy Wearable app for pairing and management, while Samsung Health provides deeper activity and wellness information.

Some ecosystem features may work best—or may be limited to compatible Galaxy phones—including Find My Phone, camera controls, mode synchronization, and certain Samsung Health experiences. iPhone users should not buy the Fit3 expecting compatibility.

Galaxy Fit3 versus Galaxy Watch
| Galaxy Fit3 | Galaxy Watch |
|---|---|
| Lower launch price: $59.99 | Higher price, depending on model and configuration |
| Small, lightweight fitness-band design | Full smartwatch form factor |
| Samsung’s claimed battery life of up to 13 days | Typically shorter battery life |
| Basic health, sleep, workout, and notification features | Apps, richer notifications, calls, and broader smartwatch functions |
| No Wear OS apps, LTE, built-in GPS, ECG, or body composition | More advanced hardware and functionality on supported models |
The Fit3 is the better choice when simplicity, low weight, and fewer charging sessions matter most. A Galaxy Watch is the better choice for apps, calls, independent functions, advanced sensors, and a more complete smartwatch experience. Neither is universally better; they serve different purposes.
Is $59.99 still the current price?
$59.99 was the Fit3’s U.S. launch MSRP announced in January 2025. It should not automatically be treated as the current September 2026 retail price. Samsung’s original promotion offered 50% off the Fit3 when purchased with a Galaxy A16 5G on Samsung.com from January 9 through February 9, 2025, while supplies lasted. That offer has expired.
Samsung’s former Galaxy Fit3 U.S. product URL currently redirects to the Galaxy Watch8 page rather than an active Fit3 shopping listing. Samsung still hosts U.S. support documentation, but that does not prove that new U.S. inventory remains available. Check the seller, model number, warranty terms, and return policy before purchasing.
Who should buy one now?
Good fit
- Android users who mainly want steps, sleep, heart-rate, and workout tracking
- Samsung phone owners who already use Samsung Health
- People who prefer a light band to a larger watch
- Buyers who want notifications without apps, LTE, or calls
- Anyone prioritizing long battery life over smartwatch features
Poor fit
- iPhone owners
- Anyone who needs built-in GPS
- Users seeking ECG or body-composition measurements
- Buyers who want calls, LTE, music apps, or standalone operation
- People who need a product with clearly active official U.S. stock and support
Imported or gray-market units deserve extra caution. They may have different warranty coverage, software, packaging, accessories, or regional support. If the price difference is small, a new unit with a U.S. warranty and a clear return policy is the safer choice.
Bottom line
The Galaxy Fit3 did come to the U.S.—just nearly a year after Samsung originally said it would not. At its $59.99 launch price, it was an appealing basic fitness band for Android users who wanted Samsung Health, long battery life, and a lighter alternative to a Galaxy Watch. In 2026, however, the buying decision depends as much on verified inventory and warranty coverage as on its specifications. Buy it only if you can confirm that the seller is legitimate and the price makes sense; otherwise, consider a currently supported fitness band or a Galaxy Watch if you need apps, GPS, calls, or advanced health features.
