1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesIf you want a Seiko panda-style chronograph, the clearest match here is the solar Prospex Speedtimer SSC813. Seiko also makes automatic and quartz chronographs that help illustrate how the movement choices differ, but the SRQ037 and SSB383 are comparators—not verified panda-dial equivalents. The practical choice is between solar convenience, quartz battery life and an automatic movement, with the dial style checked separately.
At a glance: three Seiko chronographs
| Model | Movement | Chronograph range | Published accuracy or reserve | Case size (diameter × thickness) | Crystal and water resistance | Dial-style fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Prospex Speedtimer SSC813 | V192 solar | Up to 60 minutes, in 1/5-second increments | ±15 seconds per month; approximately six months of operation when fully charged | 39.0 × 13.3 mm | Curved sapphire with inner anti-reflective coating; 10 bar | Strongest panda-style match among these three |
| Prospex Speedtimer SRQ037 | 8R46 automatic | Not stated in the cited launch announcement | 45-hour power reserve | 42.5 × 15.1 mm | Sapphire; 10 bar | Charcoal-gray dial; not established as a panda-style model |
| SSB383 | 8T67 quartz | Up to 12 hours, in 1/5-second increments | ±15 seconds per month; approximately three years of battery life | 41.5 × 12.1 mm | Hardlex; 10 bar | Not established as a panda-style model |
These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent test results. The SSC813 figures come from Seiko’s regional product page; the SRQ037 figures are from Seiko’s 2021 launch announcement; and the SSB383 figures come from Seiko’s Singapore product page. Regional specifications and prices may vary.

Which one actually has a panda-style dial?
The SSC813 is the clear panda-style anchor in this comparison. Seiko describes its sandblasted dial as part of the solar Speedtimer line. A panda dial generally means a light main dial with contrasting darker chronograph registers; the reverse-color arrangement is often called a reverse panda. The cited Seiko pages do not establish the SRQ037 or SSB383 as matching panda-style options.

That distinction matters if appearance is the priority: comparing movement types does not mean Seiko offers the same panda design in solar, quartz and automatic versions. The Speedtimer collection page gives further context for Seiko’s V192 solar chronographs.

Solar vs. quartz vs. automatic: what changes in use?
Solar: SSC813
The V192 converts light into stored power. Seiko lists approximately six months of operation after a full charge, along with ±15 seconds per month precision. It includes a power-reserve indicator, so the wearer has a visual indication of stored charge. Its chronograph measures up to 60 minutes in 1/5-second increments; the watch also has a 24-hour hand and date.
Choose this movement if you want the panda-style example in this group and prefer not to plan around regular battery replacement or daily winding. Its stated chronograph range is shorter than the SSB383’s 12-hour range.

Quartz: SSB383
The SSB383 uses Seiko’s 8T67 quartz caliber. Seiko specifies ±15 seconds per month precision and approximately three years of battery life, plus a chronograph that measures up to 12 hours in 1/5-second increments. That extended timing range is the clearest functional advantage over the SSC813, if you need to time events longer than an hour.
Choose it if long chronograph timing and a multi-year battery interval matter more than having a verified panda-style dial. The cited product page does not identify it as a panda model.

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Automatic: SRQ037
The SRQ037’s 8R46 is a mechanical automatic chronograph with a 45-hour power reserve. Seiko’s launch announcement identifies a column wheel and vertical clutch, two features of the chronograph mechanism, and describes the charcoal-gray dial as a subtle nod to the 1964 Crown Chronograph. The cited announcement does not state the chronograph’s measurement range or a monthly accuracy figure.
Choose it if you specifically want an automatic Speedtimer and value a mechanical movement. Its published reserve is a different kind of figure from the solar operating duration or quartz battery life: it describes how long the movement can run after winding, rather than a long battery interval.

How to choose
- Choose the SSC813 if panda-style appearance is central, or if you want solar power, a 39 mm case and a power-reserve indicator.
- Choose the SSB383 if you want quartz convenience and up to 12 hours of chronograph timing, and the panda dial is not essential.
- Choose the SRQ037 if an automatic chronograph is the priority and you prefer its charcoal-gray dial and mechanical specification over a confirmed panda look.
Prices and regional availability
Seiko’s Middle East regional SSC813 page showed USD 680 when accessed in 2026; that is a regional page listing, not a guaranteed current or universal price. Seiko’s Singapore SSB383 page lists SGD 259, which should not be compared directly with a differently dated or regional figure. Seiko’s September 2021 announcement gave historical launch prices of USD 3,000 for the SRQ037 and USD 725 for solar models in the series; those are launch figures, not current market prices. Check the relevant local Seiko listing for current pricing and availability.
