The Seiko Prospex SRPC91K1 is a Save the Ocean edition of the Turtle: an automatic diver with a blue wave-pattern dial, black bezel, black silicone strap and 200 m diver’s water-resistance rating. Its 45 mm case is substantial, so its listed dimensions deserve as much attention as its ocean-inspired styling if you are considering one.
What is the Seiko SRPC91K1?
Seiko’s regional Prospex Sea page identifies the product as reference SRPC91 and shows the SRPC91K1 variant. Independent reviews describe the SRPC91K1 as the Save the Ocean special edition. It belongs to the broader Turtle family, whose rounded, cushion-shaped case gives the watch its familiar nickname. Seiko’s product page is the source for the specifications below; Fratello’s review provides additional family context.
What does it look like?
The defining detail is a gradient blue dial with a wave pattern, paired with a black bezel and blue insert. A black silicone strap keeps the color scheme focused and gives the watch a sport-oriented look. Monochrome’s hands-on review documents these edition-specific design details.
How large is the case, and how might it fit?
Seiko lists the case at 45.0 mm in diameter and 13.4 mm thick, with 22 mm between the lugs. Those figures make this a sizeable watch on paper. Diameter alone does not determine how a watch wears, and there is no wrist-fit trial established here, so compare the dimensions with a watch you already find comfortable or try this one on before buying.

Movement, display and specifications
| Specification | Seiko SRPC91 listing |
|---|---|
| Movement | Caliber 4R36, automatic winding with manual winding |
| Power reserve | Approximately 41 hours |
| Jewels | 24 |
| Functions | Day/date and stop-seconds |
| Case | 45.0 mm diameter; 13.4 mm thickness |
| Crystal | Hardlex |
| Band and lug distance | Silicone band; 22 mm distance between lugs |
| Water resistance | 200 m / 660 ft, diver’s |
| Other listed features | Unidirectional rotating bezel; screw case back |
These are manufacturer specifications from Seiko’s regional product page, not independent test results. The 4R36’s automatic winding can be supplemented by manual winding; the stop-seconds function allows the seconds hand to stop while setting the time. The day/date display adds a practical calendar readout.
What does the 200 m diver’s rating mean?
Seiko specifies 200 m / 660 ft diver’s water resistance and a unidirectional rotating bezel. The rating is a manufacturer designation, not a claim of independent testing in this review. For actual underwater use, follow Seiko’s guidance for the watch and ensure the crown and case are properly secured; a water-resistance rating does not mean a watch should be operated or serviced without regard to its condition.

Is the SRPC91K1 worth buying?
It may suit someone who wants the Turtle’s rounded case, a distinctive blue dial, a mechanical automatic movement and a diver’s-rated specification in one watch. Its main fit consideration is the 45 mm diameter and 13.4 mm thickness. The case dimensions and styling are concrete points to compare; whether they justify a purchase depends on fit, condition and the price offered in your market.
Price references are market- and time-specific. Seiko’s India-English page displays INR 45,000, which should not be treated as a quote for another country or as a verified street price. Monochrome’s EUR 450 figure is historical launch-era context, not a current offer. Neither reference establishes present availability or value elsewhere. Check the seller, condition, local price and any applicable warranty before committing.

What to check before buying
- Confirm the reference and edition: Seiko’s regional page is for SRPC91 and identifies the SRPC91K1 variant.
- Check the watch in person if possible, especially whether the 45 mm case and 13.4 mm thickness work for your wrist.
- Assess the actual watch’s condition, including the crystal, bezel, strap and case, and ask about service history where relevant.
- Verify the seller, local price and warranty independently; the cited regional and historical figures do not confirm current stock or a seller’s legitimacy.
- If replacing the strap, Seiko lists a 22 mm lug distance, but confirm that a specific replacement strap’s attachment and fit are compatible with this case.
Verdict
The SRPC91K1 is a recognizable Turtle variant distinguished by its blue wave-pattern dial and black-and-blue diver styling. Seiko’s listed 4R36 movement, day/date, Hardlex crystal and 200 m diver’s rating make its specification clear; the large case and market-dependent buying context are the two practical considerations to weigh before purchase.
