How the GMT hand works
Shinola describes the Monster GMT as a “caller GMT.” Its Sellita SW330-2 movement drives a fourth hand that can be set independently and completes one rotation every 24 hours. Shinola’s current warranty page says eligible watches purchased from Shinola, a Shinola Outlet or an authorized retailer receive a five-year guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, subject to its terms and registration requirements. The stated exclusions include straps and bracelets, normal wear, misuse and some damage associated with unauthorized service. Shinola recommends factory service every five to seven years and says qualifying service work carries a two-year guarantee.
