The Sinn 103 Classic 12 is a 2021, 600-piece anniversary edition of the brand’s 103 pilot chronograph. Its glossy black dial sets three light-colored counters against the dark background, while a bidirectional ceramic-insert bezel provides a 12-hour scale for tracking a second time zone. Sinn specifies a 41 mm stainless-steel case, an automatic SW510 movement and 20 bar water resistance.
What is the Sinn 103 Classic 12?
Sinn introduced the 103.KLASSIK12, also called the 103 Classic 12, in 2021 to mark the company’s 60th anniversary. The special edition was limited to 600 pieces. The product-information manual describes it as a classic chronograph with a ceramic bezel insert commemorating the anniversary; the limited number and anniversary engravings appear on the transparent case back, according to Sinn’s model page and product-information manual.
The “reverse panda” description refers to the dial contrast: three light counters stand out against a glossy black dial. It retains the familiar three-register chronograph arrangement, with a small-seconds display and separate 30-minute and 12-hour chronograph counters.
How does the 12-hour bezel work?
The bidirectional bezel carries a 12-hour scale. Set its marker in relation to the hour hand to read the time in another time zone; the bezel indication is separate from the chronograph’s 12-hour elapsed-time counter. The bezel has a ceramic insert, while the main dial provides the watch’s hours, minutes, small seconds, chronograph registers and date.

Always tighten the crown fully before contact with water, do not operate the chronograph pushers while the watch is wet or submerged, and avoid hot water, steam and diving. Water resistance should be checked periodically as seals age.
- COMPACT 39MM WRIST PROFILE: The WD1863 measures 39mm across the bezel, with a 41mm mid-case, 46mm lug-to-lug length, 12.9mm thickness including the raised crystal and 20mm lug width. These proportions balance the detail of a three-register chronograph with a wearable footprint. The 20mm bracelet remains proportionate to the case, while the raised crystal adds vintage depth to the compact design.
Movement and functions
Sinn lists an automatic SW510 movement with 27 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and approximately 46 hours of power reserve. The maker also specifies anti-magnetic performance of 4,800 A/m under DIN 8309. The listed functions are hours, minutes, small seconds, date, a 30-minute chronograph counter, a 12-hour chronograph counter and the bezel-based second-time-zone indication.
Fratello’s 2021 launch coverage describes the movement as Sellita-based and reports approximately 48 hours of reserve. For the model’s stated specifications, Sinn’s approximately 46-hour figure is the appropriate reference; the figures reflect different reporting, not a confirmed change to the watch.

Supplied straps
Sinn lists a dark green wild boar leather strap as standard and a black embossed cowhide strap as an additional strap. The stated strap width is 20 mm. Anyone considering a replacement should check the lug width and attachment compatibility before buying; the official specifications do not establish compatibility with any particular aftermarket strap.
