What is the Carrera Heuer 01?
TAG Heuer launched the first Carrera Heuer-01 in 2015. The brand describes it as a Carrera chronograph with an open-skeleton dial, modular case construction and a modified version of the Calibre 1887. The name refers to the Heuer 01 movement used in this generation; it should not be confused with the later Heuer 02. TAG Heuer’s Carrera history traces the family’s development.
How did the design and range develop?
The original Heuer-01 Carrera is associated with its exposed, skeleton-style dial. TAG Heuer says additional models followed in 2016, including a 43 mm version with a more traditional dial. As a result, “Heuer 01” does not identify one universal dial or case configuration: check the reference number for the specific watch.

Is the Carrera Heuer 01 discontinued?
Yes. TAG Heuer’s history states that the Heuer 01 movement was discontinued in 2018, as the brand revised the skeleton-dial Carrera chronograph range around Heuer 02. Heuer 02 is a later movement, not another name for Heuer 01. A 2024 Carrera brochure describes a subsequent Carrera Chronograph using Heuer 02 / TH20-00 with an 80-hour power reserve; those are later-generation specifications, not specifications for the older references above. What do the listed prices mean?
The S$8,900 and Mex$125,800 figures are amounts displayed on TAG Heuer’s Singapore and Mexico product pages for the named references. Both pages mark their watches discontinued. They are regional official-page figures, not current resale valuations, confirmed transaction prices or evidence of available stock. The two amounts also use different currencies and markets, so they should not be read as a direct price comparison.
For a pre-owned price comparison, match the exact reference and local market, then account for bracelet or strap configuration, condition, completeness and seller provenance. The cited official pages do not establish current resale prices or recent transaction averages; a live set of comparable offers or sales is needed to estimate today’s market value.
