The Citizen TSUYOSA NJ0150 makes a recognizable integrated-bracelet style and an automatic mechanical movement accessible without requiring a luxury-tier budget. The NJ0150-56W pairs Citizen’s caliber 8210 with a sapphire crystal, steel bracelet, date display and 5-bar water resistance. That is meaningful choice for the money—not a promise that its finishing or performance matches more expensive watches.
What the NJ0150-56W gives you
Citizen’s Japan and Canada listings identify the NJ0150-56W as a TSUYOSA automatic watch powered by the caliber 8210. The movement can also be wound by hand, has hacking seconds, and provides an approximately 42-hour power reserve. The watch has a date display and a display back. Citizen Japan’s official listing provides the fuller specification set; Citizen Canada’s listing confirms the core features.

How much does it cost?
Price depends on the market and source. Citizen Japan lists the NJ0150-56W at ¥66,000, or ¥60,000 before tax, and notes that prices and specifications can change. Citizen Canada displayed a list price of CA$650 when its product page was accessed. Neither figure should be treated as a universal price or a current US offer.

For the United States, The Watch Goat estimated a market range of US$300–425, last verified August 30, 2026. That is a third-party market estimate, not a Citizen list price or a guaranteed current offer. Check the seller, availability, warranty eligibility and price before buying.
What “freedom” means in this price segment
The NJ0150 lets a buyer choose an automatic watch with the visual language of an integrated-bracelet sports watch, rather than treating that style or a mechanical ownership experience as exclusive to luxury-priced models. Sapphire, a steel bracelet, a date and 50 m water resistance round out a broadly useful feature set. The appeal is access and choice; the specifications alone do not establish equivalent finishing, movement refinement or quality control to a more expensive watch.

Citizen Japan publishes a static-state average daily accuracy range of −20 to +40 seconds and cautions that actual daily performance can fall outside it depending on wearing conditions. A mechanical watch’s rate is therefore a practical consideration if precision matters more to you than the appeal of owning and interacting with an automatic movement.
Tradeoffs to consider before buying
- Water resistance: The 5-bar/50 m rating is a stated specification, not a promise of suitability for every water activity. Consider the manufacturer’s guidance and the watch’s condition, especially as seals age.
- Bracelet flexibility: The integrated-bracelet design is central to the look, but The Watch Goat notes that it limits strap flexibility. If you expect to switch frequently between bracelet and straps, that is a meaningful compromise.
- Bracelet sizing: The Watch Goat says sizing uses a screwdriver or pin tool. Tool fit depends on the bracelet and tool; verify compatibility or have a watch professional size it rather than assuming a generic tool will work.
- Mechanical upkeep: An automatic movement brings a different ownership experience from a battery-powered watch, including periodic winding or wearing and eventual servicing. Choose it for that experience, not on the assumption that the movement will be as precise as a quartz watch.
How to weigh it against alternatives
The Watch Goat compares the NJ0150 with the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 and Seiko 5 Sports, using factors such as price, movement reserve, crystal, water resistance and bracelet style. Those comparisons are useful as a shortlist, but its figures are secondary-source estimates and may not reflect current prices or every model variant. A fair decision requires comparing specific references in the same market and time period.

- Check the exact movement and reserve for each reference, rather than generalizing across a collection.
- Compare crystal material, water-resistance rating and bracelet design, including how readily each watch accommodates straps.
- Try the case and bracelet on if possible; diameter alone does not determine how a watch fits your wrist.
- Decide whether you value the NJ0150’s style and feature mix more than greater water resistance, a different movement specification or a more adaptable bracelet on another model.
Warranty and buying checks
Citizen Japan states that the watch has three-year international warranty coverage. It also says Japanese domestic coverage can extend to five years when the buyer registers with MY CITIZEN within one year of purchase. Local warranty terms and seller eligibility may differ, so confirm coverage where you are buying.
Before ordering, make sure the listing is for the exact NJ0150-56W dial reference you want, verify the seller and warranty, and confirm the current local price. Prices and specifications can change, and availability varies by region.
