Hermès has introduced two light-dial versions of the H08, distinguished mainly by their bezel, minute-track finish, numerals and strap choices. Fratello Watches reported both at 39 mm wide, with the H1837 automatic movement and a 50-hour power reserve. The two watches are variations on the existing H08 design, not a new movement family.
What changed on the two new Hermès H08 styles?
In its September 13, 2025 launch report, Fratello Watches described both watches as light-dial interpretations of the H08. Their shared gray-dial concept is paired with different treatments for the bezel, minute ring and numerals.
Gray dial with orange seconds-hand tip
This version has a crystal-sandblasted, rhodium-plated gray dial and a nickel-treated, circular satin-brushed minute track. Fratello describes a satin-brushed titanium bezel with polished chamfers and a central seconds hand finished with an orange tip. Reported strap choices include rubber and fabric webbing.
Bleu Saint-Cyr numerals
The Bleu Saint-Cyr version keeps the gray-dial concept but adds applied light-blue numerals. Its circular-brushed minute ring is treated in black gold, creating a darker contrast around the dial. Fratello reports a black ceramic bezel and two woven-pattern rubber strap colors: dark gray or matching blue.

The differences are descriptive rather than a measured legibility comparison. Which dial reads more clearly will depend on the wearer and viewing conditions; the launch report does not establish one as objectively easier to read.
How big is the Hermès H08?
Fratello reports both variants at 39 mm wide, 10.6 mm thick and 42 mm from lug to lug. Those figures describe the 2025 light-dial watches in that report; they should not be conflated with specifications for other H08 editions.

The H08’s design balances a softened square or cushion-shaped case against a circular dial. Hermès collection context published by Openers in 2023 identifies Philippe Delhotal as the collection’s designer and describes its geometric silhouette, textures and sporty character. The 2023 Hermès release carried by Openers concerns earlier models, so it provides collection context rather than specifications for these two watches. The GPHG H08 page likewise discusses the broader circular-versus-softened-square design, but its technical details belong to a distinct 2023 composite-cased model.
