What the 72-hour power reserve means
Tissot says the Swissmatic 72 movement has a 72-hour power reserve, describing that as enough for the watch to continue telling time accurately when unworn for three days. This is the maker’s specification, not an independent timing test. The product page also mentions automated production and modular assembly; it does not establish movement architecture, measured accuracy, regulation, or repair costs.
Design and wrist presence
Tissot describes the V8 design as drawing inspiration from 1960s racing cars, with dashboard-inspired tachymeter bezels. That is the brand’s own design framing. At 42.5 mm in diameter, 12.7 mm thick and 188 g as listed, this is a substantial steel watch by its published dimensions and weight. Those numbers alone cannot establish how it will sit or feel on a particular wrist.

How to interpret the 10-bar rating
Tissot lists this reference at 10 bar (100 m / 330 ft). Treat that as the stated rating, not a promise that every water activity is suitable or that a used example remains sealed. The general Tissot mechanical-watch manual says ratings vary by watch and directs owners to the rating on the caseback. A current pressure test is what can address the condition of an individual watch; the factory specification cannot.
Bracelet, strap and buying checks
For the steel-bracelet version, Tissot lists bracelet reference T605041486 and a 22 mm lug width. Use the complete reference T106.407.11.051.00 when searching: other V8 Swissmatic watches may differ in dial, bracelet or strap details. A 22 mm strap is a starting size, not proof that a particular third-party strap or bracelet end link will fit.

- For a replacement bracelet, check the part reference and confirm the end-link and clasp fit with the seller.
- For a strap, verify the lug width and how it attaches to this case before ordering.
- For a used watch, verify the exact reference and condition; the published water-resistance rating does not establish present sealing.
- Check warranty terms with the seller in your market rather than assuming the regional page’s two-year listing applies everywhere.
The Thailand product page displayed ฿19,000 when surfaced in 2026. That is a regional listing, not a universal or current price benchmark; local price, availability and pre-owned value are not established here.

The manufacturer-published specification makes the watch’s size, materials, movement claim, reserve, bracelet reference and nominal water resistance clear. The available evidence does not establish hands-on performance, independently measured timekeeping accuracy, long-term durability, comfort on wrist or serviceability. Consider those open questions rather than treating the product specification as a substitute for testing or inspection.
