What is Vacheron Constantin Récits de Voyages?
Récits de Voyages, or “travel stories,” is Vacheron Constantin’s imagined odyssey through the world and its wonders. The Maison connects that journey to the history and expansion of the house, evoking the footsteps of its founders. Its official presentation brings decorative artistry and mechanical watchmaking together rather than setting out a standard, fully specified retail collection. How are the Récits de Voyages dials made?
Vacheron Constantin describes hand engraving as a way to build texture and figurative motifs on metal. The Maison also explains that engraved channels can be made for champlevé enamel: enamel is applied by hand, then fired. The firing stage can expose a mistake, making the work dependent on precision before and during the process. These are descriptions of the collection’s métiers d’art, not a claim that every watch uses the same decoration.

The collection page highlights the manual-winding Calibre 2755 TMR as one example of the mechanical art associated with Récits de Voyages. It combines a tourbillon regulator with an on-demand striking mechanism. Its power-reserve indicator can be seen through the sapphire caseback.

Vacheron Constantin’s undated collection-page specification, accessed in 2026, gives the Calibre 2755 TMR a count of 471 components. That figure belongs to this movement, not to the collection as a whole, and the page does not establish that every Récits de Voyages watch uses it.
When was Les Cabinotiers Récits de Voyages introduced?
