Its lone hand moves across quarter-hour markers, so it suits someone who values an unusual, deliberately less precise display. If you need to read the time to the minute, a conventional dial is the better choice.
How the single-hand display works
Vario says each marker represents 15 minutes. The hand therefore gives a broad indication of where the time falls within the hour rather than a minute-by-minute reading. The company describes the design as a way to avoid showing the exact minute; that is its stated intention, not evidence of a measured effect on stress or wellbeing. This trade-off is the key buying question: choose it if an approximate glance is enough for your routine, and pass if work, travel, appointments, or personal preference call for precise timekeeping at a glance.
Case, crystal, and fit
Vario specifies a 38 mm case diameter, 11 mm thickness, 46 mm lug-to-lug length, and 20 mm lug width. The case is coated 316L stainless steel, and the crystal is double-domed sapphire with an inner anti-reflective coating. These are manufacturer specifications; no independent fit or performance test is available here.

Use the lug-to-lug measurement as well as case diameter when judging fit, since it describes the length spanning the wrist. The stated 20 mm lug width gives a starting point for strap searches, but confirm the attachment style and buckle compatibility for the specific edition before buying a replacement.
Movement and winding
The specified movement is the Miyota 82S5 automatic. Vario states that it has a power reserve of more than 40 hours and can be hand-wound and hacked. Hacking means the seconds hand stops when the crown is pulled to the time-setting position, which can help with synchronization; it does not make the single-hand dial more precise to read.

Water resistance and strap
Vario’s official product story lists 10 ATM water resistance and a vintage-style leather strap. Check the exact edition’s product listing for its strap material and current specifications. The water-resistance rating is the brand’s stated specification, not a substitute for checking the watch’s condition and care guidance before exposing it to water.

Edition limits differ by release. Vario’s original Single Hand story says that edition was limited to 400 pieces with no reruns, while the current NAVI Voyage Germany listing describes a 100-piece edition. Do not assume either count applies to every NAVI Single Hand variant.

At retrieval in 2026, Vario’s NAVI collection page listed five country editions at $428 USD. Price and availability can change; check the live listing, shipping, and destination taxes or duties before ordering. Vario’s storefront advertises a 14-day return policy and a two-year watch warranty, while product listings state a two-year international warranty. Confirm the applicable terms for your destination and chosen edition at checkout.
If you want a replacement strap, Vario offers 20 mm straps, including a quick-release leather strap. The width matches the watch’s stated lug width, but verify that its attachment and buckle suit the exact watch.
