The Vertex M60 AquaLion is a mechanical dive-watch line offered in date (D) and no-date (ND) versions. Vertex lists a 40 mm steel case, a Sellita SW300-1 movement and 600-metre water resistance; independent reviewers have also described wearing and diving with the watch. What versions does Vertex list?
Vertex lists the AquaLion in D and ND configurations: D denotes a date display, while ND is the no-date version. The detailed specifications and included accessories below come from Vertex’s ND product page, so check the page for the exact configuration you intend to order.
Vertex describes the watch as “engineered to meet and exceed the requirements of a subaquatic marine environment.” That is the manufacturer’s product description, not an independent test result.

The dimensions suggest a useful fit check before purchase: the 49 mm lug-to-lug measurement matters alongside the 40 mm diameter, while the 14 mm thickness may affect how the watch sits under a cuff. Actual comfort depends on wrist shape, bracelet adjustment and personal preference.

There is an unresolved inconsistency in Vertex’s product information about power reserve: the overview says 56 hours, while the technical specifications say 42 hours. Neither figure should be treated as confirmed until Vertex clarifies it.
What comes with the ND model?
Vertex lists four included items with the ND: a steel bracelet, single-strand Zulu strap, rubber dive strap and Peli Ruck case. The listed 20 mm lug width makes strap dimensions relevant, but it does not by itself establish that every aftermarket strap will fit; attachment and end-fitting details should be checked.
What did reviewers report about wearing and diving?
Monochrome: four dives
In a 2022 review, Derek Haager of Monochrome reported taking the AquaLion on four dives, including wreck dives. He discussed its legibility and bezel use based on that experience. Can you dive with the Vertex M60 AquaLion?
Vertex states 60 Bar / 600 metres water resistance and says the watch is built to ISO 6425 regulations. Those are manufacturer claims; the information available here does not establish independent certification work or a separate test of this particular watch. Haager’s reported dives offer firsthand reviewer experience, but do not substitute for the manufacturer’s specifications or individual equipment checks.
If you plan to use it for diving, confirm the current instructions and maintenance requirements with Vertex, and have the watch’s water resistance checked as appropriate for its age and service history. A stated depth rating alone does not establish suitability for every dive or condition.

What does it cost, and where is it listed?
When the regional Vertex collection pages were checked, the UK listing showed £2,375 and the US listing showed $3,275 for both D and ND configurations. These are regional manufacturer-listed prices observed at retrieval, not guaranteed current prices. How to assess whether it suits you
The AquaLion’s specifications and included kit make it worth considering if you want a mechanical dive watch supplied with multiple straps and a substantial case. Before deciding, compare its dimensions with a watch that fits you well, confirm the exact D or ND configuration and included items, and check the current regional price and availability. For a dive purchase, weigh the maker’s rating and instructions alongside service history and intended use rather than treating the depth figure as a complete measure of suitability.
