This is the Climber Center Axis Tourbillon, model P509-5—not Peacock’s Voyager or another tourbillon model. The name does not establish that it is designed or tested for climbing.

How it wears: a large case and a fitted strap
The aBlogtoWatch reviewer describes the Climber as large, reporting a 57 mm lug-to-lug measurement in addition to its 45 mm diameter. Lug-to-lug length matters because it indicates how far the case may extend across the wrist; wrist shape and strap fit also affect how a watch sits. The reviewer says the supplied silicone strap can help the watch sit snugly, but that the case’s specially fitted strap may limit replacement options. No compatible alternative strap is established here.
The reviewer also reports flat sapphire crystals over the dial and caseback and a case without a screw-down crown. Those observations do not amount to durability or water-resistance testing. Peacock lists 5 ATM water resistance, but that figure alone should not be treated as evidence that the watch is suitable for a particular activity.

In the January 16, 2024 aBlogtoWatch review republished by Peacock, the reviewer praises the tourbillon’s visual execution, the centered hands and the power-reserve display. The reviewer also likens aspects of the case’s appearance to an IWC Ingenieur; that is a visual impression, not evidence of a design relationship.
The review’s main practical reservation is the watch’s size, compounded by the possibility that its fitted strap could make future strap choices less straightforward. It does not establish accuracy, long-term reliability, serviceability or real-world water performance through independent testing.

Power reserve: Peacock and the reviewer differ
Peacock lists a 40-hour power reserve. The aBlogtoWatch reviewer says they believe the reserve is 45 hours, so the available sources do not agree. For a specification-based comparison, 40 hours is the manufacturer’s stated figure; confirm the current documentation with the seller if the exact reserve affects your decision.

Who should consider the Peacock Climber?
- Consider it if a centered, visible tourbillon is the feature you most want, and you like the sporty presentation and are comfortable with a 45 mm case.
- Think carefully about fit if your wrist is smaller, you prefer compact watches, or you want an easy-to-change standard strap. The review’s 57 mm lug-to-lug measurement and fitted-strap observation are useful cautions, but trying it on is the surest way to judge comfort.
- Compare it on concrete criteria if you are weighing other watches: diameter and lug-to-lug length, stated water resistance, winding type, stated power reserve, strap interchangeability, current price and stock, and whether you want the tourbillon prominently displayed.
