The Casio Mudman GDG-B100 counts steps and supports basic running and interval training. It can show running distance, pace, speed and estimated calories, record laps, pause automatically, and store run history. For distance, the watch uses its accelerometer; a paired phone’s GPS can correct the measurement. Casio’s specifications do not list onboard GPS or heart-rate tracking.
What the GDG-B100 tracks
Daily activity
An accelerometer counts steps, which the watch displays as a daily total. The CASIO WATCHES app can set a daily step target. Casio also lists monthly running distance and life-log data among the connected app features.

Running metrics
During training, the watch can display elapsed time, distance, pace, speed, average pace, average speed, lap time, lap distance, lap pace and calories burned. These are running-focused measurements, not evidence of a broad multisport tracking system. Calories are estimates; Casio does not publish an independent accuracy study for them.
Workout timing and saved records
The GDG-B100 supports manual and automatic lap timing, auto pause, and training alerts for time and calories. Its interval timer allows up to five time settings. The stopwatch supplies general timing outside a run as well.

Does the GDG-B100 have GPS?
Not onboard GPS, according to Casio’s listed features. The watch calculates distance with its accelerometer, then can use Bluetooth to link to a paired smartphone’s GPS and correct that distance. Casio says measurement can continue more accurately after correction even when the phone is disconnected. This is phone-assisted distance calibration; it does not establish that the watch records routes or provides standalone GPS tracking. The correction depends on the phone’s location information.

Casio’s GDG-B100 specifications do not list a heart-rate sensor. They likewise do not establish heart-rate zones, VO2 max, or recovery analytics for this model. Do not infer those features from other G-Shock watches with similar names.

What the phone connection adds
With the CASIO WATCHES app, the watch supports activity history, life-log data, settings, automatic time adjustment, phone-assisted distance correction and a phone-finding feature. It can also provide vibration alerts for supported phone notifications. These connected functions supplement the watch’s step, run and timer tools; they do not turn it into a watch with onboard GPS or heart-rate measurement.
How accurate is its step and distance tracking?
The official product information lists the tracking features but does not provide a quantified real-world accuracy result for steps, distance or calorie estimates. Casio’s GDG-B100 FAQ index includes questions about distance measurement and differences in calorie readings, but the index does not establish an error rate. Treat the calorie figure as an estimate and avoid assuming the watch’s uncorrected distance matches a dedicated GPS device.

Who the tracking suits
The GDG-B100’s fitness functions are best understood as step counting, basic running metrics, workout timing and run-history storage in a rugged watch. It may suit someone who wants those tools and is comfortable using a phone for distance correction. Casio’s listed features do not describe advanced physiological coaching or extensive sport profiles; runners who need onboard route tracking or heart-rate data should look for those capabilities explicitly in another watch’s specifications.

Casio also specifies a CR2032 battery life of approximately two years and 200-meter water resistance. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements.
